Today in Transit Tales - @MTA You gotta do something about the S79-SBS toward SI Mall. It’s crowded as hell all of the time. Try eliminating a few stops. The S93 & 53 make the same stops in the beginning & are far less crowded! Please!

@Derrick_NYC I’m hoping that something happens. I hope it happens soon. The crowded buses are insane. As you know there are surveys that go out and ask how to improve service. Passengers nearly dry humping each other is not the move! Maybe a picture would help.

@Derrick_NYC Ofcourse! I ride this bus everyday!! I do know this. I don’t complain. I try to find solutions. Many people get off immediately- the first couple stops. The bus is very crowded most of the time while the others are not. There are even times the S79 goes back to SI empty.

@CASSANDRA71 So you do realize that the S53 and S93LTD buses doesn't run the same route as the S79-SBS bus in Staten Island? Not everyone lives off the S53 and S93LTD. Many live off the S79-SBS route via Hylan Blvd and Richmond Av.

@Derrick_NYC I guess you would have to take the bus daily to see what I mean. The bus is super super crowded on most days. Some people who can be on the 93 or 53 don’t making the 79 a hazard.

Today on Transit Tales - the B70 toward Sunset Park needs help @MTA. This is the only bus that travels down a very busy 8th Ave towards the hospital, schools & what happens on 8th Avenue. Three routes of buses are trying to get on one bus. Do something please!

Last post that I had to share from yesterday in Transit Tales- This guy at the bus stop must have been very stressed or really really likes cigarettes! He had vapes and cigarettes smoking back to back! 🚬 😔
