The AI Engineer Kids Day event was featured in the @aiDotEngineer World's Fair newspaper! 📰 The kids were possibly more proficient with AI than us. ✨🧑‍💻

Dad brought home the @aiDotEngineer Speaker Dinner gift. ChatGPT was great at making Godot games for AI Engineer Kids Day, so I used it on the puzzle. GPT-5.5 thought 6m18s: “2x3 rectangle.” ⬛⬛⬛ ⬛⬛⬛ Mom stared 1 min: “make a cube.” Use AI for coding, not thinking 🤣

Amazing AI Engineer Kids Day! 🚀 Kids learned Machine Learning, Claude Code & Codex, then built games like corn mazes 🌽 and banana simulators 🍌 in just a few hours. So inspiring to see their creativity unlocked with AI. 🧑‍💻🌈 Thanks @aiDotEngineer, @Neo4j & @catsandtech! 🙌

📊 Since ChatGPT’s late-2022 launch, US CS grads have faced tougher job placement. Japan seems different with high employment rates, but students often apply to companies, not roles, and may be assigned wherever the company needs (even outside their degree field 😢).

Great to be back at #JJUGCCC ☕🇯🇵 @steveonjava and I spoke about AI First Programming and rethinking CS education through our AI First book series with @Apress. 📊 I also shared US data on CS grads struggling after ChatGPT, while Japan’s hiring picture seems very different.

I peeked in on Daniel Oh's talk and the room was packed full beyond belief! This might be a result of mentioning him as a great speaker in the keynote yesterday. 😂

It was great speaking at Open Source Summit Japan! At first I wasn't sure how my first lightning talk would go, but actually it had more impact than a regular session. Many people reached out to me with compliments. I hope I inspired parents to try fun technology with their kids.

Giving the opening keynote at #Devoxx Belgium was a huge honor and the largest audience I have spoken. 🎤It was amazing to come to the conference that started @Devoxx4Kids and to stand on stage with @Stephan007 and talk about how parents can raise young coders.👾👩‍💻
