Y’all want to bring feminism into this ?. Alright . Those what if’s that y’all are crying about are like 20% out of 100. How many of your family members don’t have kids and how many do? Feminism is equal right in everything . Roles are assigned and when everyone performs theirs, that’s equality Women should care for the home , bring all their finances and still give birth ….what will the men do ? That is called inequality and y’all have been doing this nonsense for years. Wicked thieves!

I would have zero objections to 50/50 if the man also gets pregnant, gives birth, goes through life altering physical and mental changes, and still nurses the kids . Anything outside that is a scam . I will contribute whatever I want, but I will never share 50/50 finance with a man.

So my boyfriend and his friends live together in his apartment where he pays the rent which always make me feel uncomfortable being around each time I visit him. I’ve spoken to him severely and he said he can’t chase them out and that he enjoy their company since we ain’t married yet. This is not bearable for me cos each time I visit, I will have to cook for six and no free movement around the house, noises everywhere and many things that I don’t feel very comfortable with. No privacy with my babe even if we don’t share the same room, I still want to walk and run around the house n@k£d with my boyfriend but it not even possible with them around always chatting,playing games and more that I he hardly have time for me not that he doesn’t love me o

The obsession with 50/50 is why so many people are stressed and single. A man who is bothered by paying the rent and council tax shouldn't be leading a household. If her covering the 'small' bills allows her to save for the family’s future or just live a softer life, a real provider wouldn't be counting pennies over a WiFi bill. This 'Sir Dickson' energy is why some men remain 'Sir' and never 'Husband.'

How are you different from the women doing “my money is my money and his money is our money” who have chosen to be fundamentally useless to the family financially? You laid a foundation with this and I thought you were up to something. When I came to the UK newly, our water bill was updated(raised) cus then you have 2 people in the house. I wasn't really working, was just doing part time job while preparing for my OSCE so I wasn't contributing to the bills and my husband didn't mind but immediately I got my Nursing job, I took up some direct debits. When a woman (or man) dies in my community it is the responsibility of every man to join hands in digging the grave. I have never seen my sister or any woman call it slavery protesting against their husbands participation. Men across Nigeria are also involved in various kinds of family and community building. But we only hear this "slavery" talks from stupid men, never women, whenever a woman has to contribute anything at all that isn't sex. Nigerian men, the real fish brains.
