I shouldn’t have to live in a society where a bag of crisps (made up of at best one quarter of a potato) set me back more than one great british pound, how did we get here

One thing about me is I will go to painstaking lengths to cook roast potatoes so crispy they could knock a child spark out if thrown from a short distance, then refuse to eat them until they have been marinating in gravy at the side of my plate for the duration of my meal

@catekitchen The Toby Carvery in Crawley I guess, although you’d have to go to Crawley… But really, just pick a good place in Brighton and then a good place in London next time

@emchadders I’ve accepted I need to go to Snaresbrook which is our toby c anyway so ultimately nowhere else would have felt right

@catekitchen What about Snaresbrook toby?? That’s like half an hour from Blackfriars (where you’d get into London from Brighton), and it’s only a few stops away from Stratford so you’re not even really in the middle of nowhere like a lot of Tobys
