@perpetua Tbh this list captures a lot of what I feel like are perceived Tumblr aesthetics from that time. Which: fair! It’s been a decade and that’s a lot of what is remembered. But like Hozier had a chokehold on a huge part of the platform in 2014 and where’s BTS lol

@catesish do you feel like they're capturing anything particular to Tumblr in that specific period? I mean, I remember following it through you then and this has more to do with what I was posting on BF than what seemed like the primary culture of Tumblr at the time

I'd pretty much abandoned Tumblr by 2011 so this is just really weird and arbitrary to me, but I'd love someone to explain how ASAP Rocky is the only rap on this list without making anyone involved look really bad
