Whole system needs taking apart, not fit for purpose. Just a legitimated way for society to shove victimised people out of sight, so they don't have to give it another thought

I mean, they put her on antipsychotics for so little, without even checking her story - ooh, it sounds a bit odd, better drug her up! Yet the guy who was happy to lie to everyone, knowing he was making her look crazy and scaring her, no-one will suggest he's "unbalanced"

Sure, by design, LLMs’ signatures will be common cliches. But if no human ever writes a sentence again like “his quiet violence was too sharp, too sudden—no warning, just danger. The air was heavy, humming like a song with too much meaning”, that’s fine. We’ll be fine without it
💫 jackson 💫@_JackPBrown

In the Reddit post about Shy Girl, the phrase "quiet violence" is argued to be a ChatGPT signature. Ngl this reads like something I would write. I'm glad Shy Girl was pulled (the author admitted that AI was used for editing) but I worry about LLMs' impact on style and voice.

Believe me, I do not miss our former governments of chaos, but also, not really loving the current one, either. *chanting* Someone else! Someone else!

@FemmeNb @TinyWriterLaura That's what I think - just stick your head in the loft, or get a contractor to take a look. Few quid and a couple of hours, tops.

@TinyWriterLaura I just don’t get why tf NO ONE offered to CHECK, or suggested calling the cops so THEY could check & she could have peace of mind??? Like… okay, someone says they’re seein somethin, you’re never supposed to just go “nah idiot it’s all in your head” & move on. Depending on how-

@CatFinnie @DrJessTaylor The thing that does bother me is that cops pulled out what looked like bloody mattresses and toys out of it. Which is a scary implication tbh. I really hope someone looked into wtf that was about but as far as I know they didn't explain it to the general public

This is now the THIRD time I’ve covered a story where a woman has been put on antipsychotic medication for saying that someone was living in her house - and each time the woman was right - and each time a man was eventually arrested and found to be living in her loft. 1 case in Australia 2 cases in UK. This is of course absolutely atrocious - but also serves to prove that there is ZERO science to a psychiatric disorder diagnosis. This young woman was put on heavy antipsychotics that made her feel like a zombie - for trying to report that someone was living in her loft. What scientific or clinical process led to the diagnosis that she was psychotic and delusional? NOTHING. What rationale was there for the antipsychotics? NOTHING. In cases like this, women are disproportionately represented. Women try to report abuse, violence, concerns - and are still being chalked up as ‘mad’ with no evidence whatsoever. I have been working really hard behind the scenes for months now to build something that can step in when this kind of thing happens - and I will explain more soon. There has to be a way to stop this from happening. Women like Chloe are everywhere, in every country - being gaslit and medicated for no reason when they try to report concerns. Pathologisation is rife - and it must end. Psychiatric diagnosis and medication has no basis in science. She deserves compensation and to have all of this struck from her medical record immediately @LBC

@RomanticR81537 @DrJessTaylor I'm wondering if the Jewish tunnels were in some way intending to 'claim ground" as it mentions they hoped to speed up extension of the synagogue. By tunneling under somewhere, it might prevent anyone else developing it, as unable to dig foundations?

@CatFinnie @DrJessTaylor I love that man. "It's just a wine cellar! I've never gone outside of my own basement... okay maybe I went to the road but that was ONE TIME" cut to the neighbors saying you could SEE the tunnels going under their houses...

Everytime I see something like this, I think of Martha Mitchell - the woman who stumbled fully across the Watergate scandal before it broke and was dismissed as a "crazy drunk". I bet it happens all the time

@johnwcbragg @XavierTorch @DrJessTaylor PTSD and anxiety is not, to me, a reason why someone shouldn't have at least looked into what she was saying. Ok, the auditory hallucination condition sounds more complex, but presume she knows her condition well enough to make a judgement. People are too disbelieving, on average

@DrJessTaylor Chloe’s next-door male neighbour knew the whole time — the intruder was his homeless friend. The neighbour had been letting him use the bathroom, giving him food, and repeatedly gaslighting Chloe and others by denying any noises existed.
