@iainmacl @ProfDcotton This is really interesting, unfortunately I think this will be the new way of the world where AI will create the template letters and people will tweak content. Not sure I'm comfortable with this? Or, should I be comfortable with this new direction?

@LTHEchat A3 They can, for example session outlines, summaries of text, translations for students who's English is not as good. Need to be careful and check it's not rubbish. This is where educators still needed. #LTHEchat

@LTHEchat A3 I'd suggest a scaffolded approach is taken. Use the free ChatGPT to start with. Think of a topic to explore/discuss in class. Develop prompt questions and compare the responses between ChatGPT and a search engine. How do they differ. What other sources might help? #LTHEchat

@LTHEchat A1, the current state of AI would seem fast paced, even before internal policy makers within institutions have published updates for staff and students they are out dated. I think a way forward is to publish iterative guidance rather than policy #LTHEChat
