@cattsusando But also good for her for doing that jump into her late 20s. I do hope that if we do see 3As last more into skaters 20s that they don’t all look like tuktiks tho hahaha

@hopeandyuzu still havent seen a kaori sakamoto style beautiful effortless axel but make it 3A.... i wonder if sacrifices need to be made for athletes in order to get the minimum height and rotation speed for the jump ie. skid axel gives more height or extreme knee bend jump prep

@hopeandyuzu honestly most womens 3a techniques are sooo scary like. ami and hana bath's arent my favs either (i love their deep knee bend into and out of the jump) but omg their air positions scare me a little... amber's 3A is very much a mens 3A since most of them do skid axel

@hopeandyuzu i kinda want to know if she can control her landing and just hold the edge, cause it seems like even her practice runs of 3A immediately goes into the cross under during warm up and practices.... but i think who/where she learned 3A from influenced how she gets out of it lol

@cattsusando I think it’s also maybe she doesn’t absorb the landing for very long snd rises up quick (again like tuktik hahaha). Like if her back was straighter, knee a little more bent, and arms lower it wouldn’t probably look as off (to me ofc!!)

@hopeandyuzu not that ive seen it in competition but its interesting how she doesnt hold the landing edge in her programs? some of her other 3as esp during 23-24 season had better running edges, height AND distance but it feels so short lived. cant bask in it like you do with ami's 3As lol

@cattsusando There’s just something with the landing of even her better ones that irks me. It just always looks like she has to go straight into choreo bc that landing edge cannot be sustained but that’s how tuktiks always looked to me and apparently she studied hers so that makes sense
