there’s a discourse on swedish tiktok rn about wether you’d rather save your own pet in a fire or a strangers child and you’d be surprised how little they care about anyone other than themselves it’s so disheartening to see

@6iberia that’s why i know it’s always more important to save the child even if it’s someone else’s. i have to put myself in their shoes

@6iberia i’d definitely feel like i did the right thing by choosing the child no matter how hurt i’d be losing my cat. losing my little brother for example would be infinitely harder on me than losing my cat although i love her very much

@6iberia i can promise you your cat is NOT sitting around waiting for you to save it, it will do anything it can to survive a child is unable to do that but also think of how losing that child will affect others i mean i love my cat more than life itself but it’s an obvious choice imo
