I tried but I wasn’t able to get the shot. Checked the timetable for two trains to cross the bridge at the same time and waited out a few trains but they weren’t close. One train always left the bridge early. I guess I got lucky last time that i just happened to walked into them.

@mjvito Yes I’m noticing lately that many shots could be saved if shot higher up. I think that includes one I got from a firehouse near Yamato Saidaichi Station as well.

@catzilla555 You need height, too. Time to call the monopod folks for help (^^)

Last year I tried to take multiple pictures of this location but my camera didn’t seem to have wide enough lens. This year I figured my phone has wider lens to capture everything I want despite being a bit distorted.

@donko824 I didn’t know why there were so many lanterns until I got close lol. Lanterns weren’t even red.

My last days in Osaka I found okonomiyaki shop at the edge of Nishinari. I quite like the place so I went back 3 times. It’s next to Tobita Hondori Shotengai so I looked around, walked back when I saw lots of lanterns and mama san tried to invite me in the establishment.

Oh yeah I almost forgot. I haven’t seen one of these in almost 30 years. Guess what I tried to do with it back then?

Took a while at home on Google Street View to find the best spot to stand and shoot for this scene. I think I got it. Had to stand further back and zoom in but with only 70mm I had to do a lot of cropping afterwards.

Went back to that Daily Yamazaki for some extra few scenes from the Eupho special episode. This time I made sure not to get on the wrong bus.

After 4 years I was able to get the picture of Amagase dam without the guard rails and construction site in the foreground.

I’ve never been in Shin Sekai on my own but on the way back to my hotel the other day I wanted to eat takoyaki from takoyaki o ne san @donko824 took me to a few years ago but I couldn’t find her. What I found was a retro game center I heard was burnt down a few months ago.

@heero_yuy2 Kamo river canal wouldn’t sound right since it doesn’t seem the be the source of water. The canal was used for transportation of freight and people, water for city use as well as generated electricity.

@catzilla555 So why was it called Lake Biwa Canal, specially in the middle of Kyoto far away from the actual Lake Biwa?
