As get set weekend approaches (28 & 29 March) - a great deal of hard work has already been completed by grounds-people to get cricket clubs prepared for the new season. We've started our tour around a few clubs to see how well the playing surfaces have fared over the winter months. I can’t see where Tranmere gets a win before the end of the season. Last night was very poor, and non league looks inevitable. The second half of the season has been abysmal. I hope I am wrong about relegation.

I have film in my fridge that is from 30 years ago…keep meaning to shoot it, but want to do it justice with the results. I keep buying film and keeping the stock high just to try and beat all the price rises. However, the cost of film today is getting frightening, and I feel less inclined to go out and drop several hundred pounds on rolls to keep in the fridge for the future. Having said that…probably have over 150 35mm and 120 films chilling at the moment.

I've had @JAMortram's book for about a week, and I've been looking at it every day. This is more than a story...it is a series of stories that are so important to tell. It may be uncomfortable to read the words and look at the pictures at times, but in a society that is more than happy to shine a light on the rich and privileged [and in some cases their facile life], it is far more important to see what is often deliberately overlooked. We as a society need to provide whatever help we can, readjust what we consider to be important, and not shy away from the difficult. For once I disagree with @shotbyshaun...this is not #Photography - this is more important than that. I would recommend following Jim on social media and getting your hands on a copy of his newly published book.
