Eclipse Thoroughbreds debuted a 4 year old in a $30,000 Maiden Claiming race just there at @HSIndyRacing that cost $725,000 as a yearling. Was bet down to even money and ran last.

Go back and watch the San Felipe & Santa Anita Derby So Happy & Potente trading wins, and more importantly, tactical placement in both races...reminded me of Silver Charm vs Free House as they traded wins against each other It was almost like So Happy was on lead in 1/X

Five furlongs in 57 seconds would be the fastest five-furlong work in the @kentuckyderby points era. Potente's 57.8 earlier tied the record set by Sole Volente in 2020. Before today only American Pharoah and Citizen Bull had worked sub 59 in final Derby work. 45 seconds is by far the fastest four-furlong workout. Horses who worked :47.6 or faster in final work are 0/18 in points era w/ Code of Honor best finish (2nd) in 2019.

Irad was complete master-class in the @OaklawnRacing Handicap. He just showed why he's the best rider in the country along with Prat. What a great move to let the big ones go early and sit a touch, then tip out. HoF ride for sure. @BreedersCup

@goofonroof @stoolpresidente They're also trotting the horse on pavement and uneven dirt to make this assessment. Isn't that an issue? Why not assess why walking over to the paddock?

@stoolpresidente Regulatory Vet's have no desire to scratch horses. They'd be thrilled if they LOVED how each and every one traveled. They're doing their jobs to the best of their ability. They are experts.

Breaking - The track vet at Aqueduct scratched Miss Apples today. Tough to hear when the trainer says she 100% disagrees with the decision and we’ve been waiting a year for this day. The horse is doing great and she thought she was gonna win and has showed no issues in training and our own vets think she’s perfect. Reason given was lame left hind. Can’t race again till May at the earliest. Vets doing their jobs I guess. I wouldn’t want to race a horse with any issues but when nobody agrees with that 1 vet it’s tough. Maybe I’ll pass on buying more horses at @OBSSales today. I’m sad.
