Interesting development - I was told numerous stories about what happened yesterday at Crosby. One being it was a group of Asian men attacking teenage girls. Some as young as 14.
I dismissed it as rumours and told people to watch out for racism. People unfairly targeting Asians and making lies up about them.
But I’ve just been sent this. Now unless there is a conspiracy to frame them. It’s now looking like this is the case.
The only other possibility is that this was 2 separate incidents. But either way we can’t live in peace with savages who do this on a public beach in front of families.
I don’t want to speculate. So I’m going to bite my tongue on this for the time being in case I’m wrong.
It has since been confirmed that teenage girls have been attacked with a bladed item. But the attacker has not been confirmed.
I’m currently speaking to the Echo to work out what’s going on.

@benonwine If you drink beer wash your glass but don't dry it and stick it in the freezer, it ices up. You could also put your beer in the freezer too but remember to remove it before it freezes solid

@caffyhank Seems odd, two people with very similar stories but could just be a coincidence.

@BladeoftheS The good thing about the clubcard is the points, I exchange mine for a £35 Railcard so it costs me nothing as long as I have £17.50 worth of points. Having said that after visiting the alcohol section of Asda recently I've noticed Tesco has gone expensive compared to Asda

@Covid50s Had to laugh at where it states Labour hold, Halton only had a third of seats available so Labour would have held anyway. Farnworth kept Labour by just one vote! Hopefully there is a recount and they find a couple to reform. Fingers crossed for Knowsley
English

Reform clean up in Halton.
Waiting for the Knowsley result.
Labour are fckd🤣

The Burnham manifesto:
•Rejoin the European Union
•Break the fiscal rules to borrow more for defence. Thus destroying the fiscal rules…
•Extensive devolution, including tax powers.
•A wealth tax
•Nationalise water, energy, utilities, and what remains of rail
•A land value tax
•A council tax revaluation
•A ‘National Care Service’
•Rollout of nationalised bus franchising, modelled on Greater Manchester’s Bee Network
•A £2 single fare bus cap
•A fully elected upper chamber to replace the Lords
•Bring in “free transport for teenagers in England.”
•No welfare reforms.
•Build more council houses. By borrowing £40 billion…
•Scrap the whipping system in the Commons. An old favourite, truly barmy…
•MAYBE: Proportional representation. Once behind the No10 door, people tend to lose interest in that one…

@grok @VaActiveAngels @StellarArtoisGB @_SmokeyGirl25 Well that's a lie as my uncle died of it, drinking from cans , in fact the autopsy stated it was from rat urine
English

No, this story is an old urban myth that's been circulating since at least 2000. Fact-checks (Snopes, AFP, etc.) confirm no such family picnic incident, hospitalizations, or deaths from Leptospirosis via mouse urine on tin cans ever happened—recently or otherwise.
Leptospirosis is a real bacterial disease from animal urine, but the bacteria don't survive dried on cans like this, and no verified cases match the claim. Wiping cans is still smart hygiene, though the risk here is negligible.
English

Was asked to share this by a friend.
On Sunday a family went to picnic with a few drinks in tin cans. Monday, two family members were admitted to the hospital and placed in Intensive Care Unit. He died on Wednesday. Autopsy results concluded it was Leptospirosis. The virus was stuck to the tin cans and consumed, without the use of glasses / cups. Test results showed that the tin was contaminated because mice urinated on them, and then it dried. The urine contained Leptospira.
I Highly recommend to rinse the parts evenly on all soda cans before drinking it. Cans are usually stored in the warehouse and delivered direct to retail stores without cleaning.
A study shows that the top of all beverage cans are more contaminated than public toilets (full of germs and bacteria.) So, clean it with water before drinking in order to prevent this from occurring.

@StellarArtoisGB My uncle was a drinker and drank from cans, he died and the autopsy found he had died from leptospirosis. This was many years ago and I've always cleaned cans of drink and tins of food since.
