@AnnaSkiing Now is good, the soil is nice and warm. They do take a few years to get established and it can be 5 years before you see any flowers at all. It's an investment. Consider getting it professionally trained when it grows up a bit, that'll ensure max flowering and a good structure.

@cavershamjj I would like to plant a wisteria on the south aspect of our house, what's the best time of year to plant? I understand that I will be launching into a world of pain but seeing your photo, I think it's worth it.....

First time in a few years I've had flowers on the wisteria - been frosted at a critical moment in the last couple of years. Doing a bit of a double act with the lilac.
