One of the most enduring and iconic vocalists of our time is @BarbraStreisand, somebody who defined an era with the sheer force of her voice, her talent, charisma and vision. To be asked to join her on a duet was a huge honour and came as a wonderful and welcome surprise. Ewan MacColl’s The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’, made famous by the stunning Roberta Flack recording, has always mystified me. It is, to me, one of the most beautiful love songs ever written. Like so many I was deeply saddened to hear of her recent passing. Along with the honour I have to sing on this record with Barbra, I hope this duet offers something of a gesture to Roberta Flack’s incredible legacy. barbrastreisand.lnk.to/TSOL_PV2

My home on wheels next few weeks, back on the road with @Hozier who’s only gone and become a number one selling single artist on the Billboard charts in the US, only the 4th Irish artist to do it, last one being the legend Sinead O’Connor 34 years ago. Thrilled for him x

Thursday Day 4 Big day today with our first full stage show as Gaeilge in Belmullet. Brilliant co- conspirators Áine Ní Ghlinn, Chris Haughton and Myra Zepf alongside me. Who knew that Chis Haughton spoke Irish? Meanwhile Jane Mitchell was next door doing a writing workshop!
