My father Adrian (אברהם יצחק בן חיים) died this morning in his sleep, at the age of 91. He was born in Bucharest, Romania in 1931 and came to Canada as a refugee, after the Holocaust. He graduated from McGill University with an engineering degree and worked for decades at Bell.
We really would. And then after The Glass Hotel, we'd like to stick around and make Sea of Tranquility. Also I grew up there and still had to google "sea wolf."
Excited to share that my first CBC multimedia series is going live next week!!
I’ll be on CBC Radio at 8:10 am PST on Tuesday to launch the series, “No Place For Home—Inside Vancouver Island’s Housing Crisis.” (Tune in locally on 90.5 FM or through the CBC Listen app)
Hello hello. Now seems as good a time as ever to share that today is my last day at @CBCToronto for a little while. I’m heading up to @CBCNunavut for a stint in Iqaluit on Monday. Very much excited! Worry not Toronto friends, I’ll be back.
📍Are you in the Nanaimo area? ☕️
Join us for special live broadcasts from Nanaimo of @CBContheisland , @AllPointsWestBC and @nxnwcbc this Friday and Saturday.
Oh hi Vancouver Island, it's been a while.
Beyond excited to be back behind the mic on @AllPointsWestBC beginning today. And what a first show we have for you.
Hope you can join us from 3-6pm 📻
@CBCdsouza@AllPointsWestBC We really missed you and are glad you are back. We live in the Comox Valley and if you haven't explored its beauty you should check it out....especially the hiking trails. We walk the Royston Seaside Trail every day.
@CBCdsouza@cbcfreshair Thanks for so many great weekend mornings! On one of your first days, you talked about taking the stress out of cooking. You said your Mom taught you to premeasure everything . I've been doing that ever since and think of you and your Mom everytime! So Thanks & Best Wishes.
What a way to sign off on @cbcfreshair! Genuinely and totally overwhelmed by all the kind words and messages today.
What an excellent ride this has been.
It was a pleasure to join @CBCdsouza and @Fffeisty on @cbcfreshair to talk hockey one last time for Jason's final episode before he heads out west. All the best and congrats, Jason! Thanks for having us on over the last few years to keep the Battle of Ontario alive on the radio.
