I feel like if the league wanted some entertainment value then allowing trades during the draft would help that. I'm not saying a trade freeze during the draft is wrong, I'm sure they have good reasons for it. But a big trade breaking during the draft is always peak.

@KenPagan @WhalersPlates Had to look this up- what's wild is he's only 59th all time in GP for the Whalers, but leads in GP among "exclusive" Whalers. By contrast, seven of the top ten in GP for the Habs are career Habs. (Robinson, Lafleur, Plekanec- just barely- being the exceptions.)

As puck drop on the Mem Cup is upcoming I did want to just say thanks to the crew that I had the privilege to work with on the @QMJHL Finals last week Familiar faces, new faces and brand new experiences highlighted being on that job for Dome/TSN/RDS Awesome to work with and learn from @MattCullenLive, @gourmet_hockey and @matthewisakow1 broadcasting at that level. Thanks for taking care of me on that first national tv adventure.

Very interesting to see. For me, USHL & CHL opposition is obvious: If there's no age limit in the NCAA, you have 24 & 25 year old players taking spots from 19 year olds who then return to junior hockey.

@n2hockey I think it's an adjustment period. After a few years of free agent frenzied teams will just start drafting BPA regardless of region. Does strengthen the case for expansion. Also feel USHL will find a way to strike back somehow
