@sportsrapport Your ego + disdain for NY is making you forget the other side. Game aside, a Clevelander being able to sell their ticket is a transfer of wealth. Per data, they likely would've made 2x+ on the ticket. Cavs and their fear of embarrassment had real implications on someone's $$

I’m just not moved by the Knicks

I am so incredibly happy for Knicks fans. 1994 was one of the most gut-wrenching Finals losses in NBA history. Not getting back again until 1999, when Ewing had a torn Achilles and they were close to drawing dead to the Duncan-Robinson Spurs was a different type of cruelty. And somehow never truly coming close in any season since then should have just been unfathomable. Instead, it was entirely predictable and at various times they were a national punch line. To turn this season around from what it seemed like it was going to be (another promising but inevitably disappointing season), into what it became (the single most dominant month of playoff basketball from a margin of victory standpoint in the history of the NBA), is truly remarkable. I am picking the Knicks in the Finals but more importantly I’ll be rooting for the Knicks in the Finals. The NYC hoops fans deserve this moment.

Not sure there's a great precedent for this Knicks playoff run? With young teams, sort of. But a veteran team just waking up one day and playing like the '96 Bulls for 11 games and running?

As a Cs fan I hate that they are going to the finals. As an NBA fan this is good for the league.

Knicks are BY FAR the best team in the East on offense and defense. But they’re in for a rude awakening vs the Spurs/Thunder defense after having to wait for a week or so.

This Cavs team is getting alphaed by the Knicks. Men against boys. The DNA of these two teams is the biggest disparity between them.

As much as I hate their fans, the team, and I think the East is weak rn… The Knicks are legit and a well-balanced team. I don’t think they will beat either OKC or SAS, but they shouldn’t be underestimated
