@cbjjaffe I am collecting powerful evidence of student learning by encouraging my students to select their own "wow work" to display in their digital portfolios to share at home with their parents using @Seesaw #delinnovate

@CBeconstable I love the letting on your bulletin boards! Do you mind sharing where you got that or how you did it? :)

Congratulations to BVE's 2018-2019 Saftey Patrol. We had a great training with Mrs. Wear from AAA. Our safeties are ready for a new school year!

@marchunsky @cbjjaffe I like how you tied the two together Alyssa! When we give our students opportunities it innovate we certainly need to give them opportunities to connect and share their learning and ideas too. :)

@cbmfuller @cbjjaffe I agree! Those were the two areas I feel we lacked the most. I wonder if our students feel the same way in our classrooms?

@cbjjaffe In my PLO, I already see voice, critical thinkers, and problem solvers/finders. I would like to see more self-assessment and time for reflection #delinnovate

@cbjjaffe In my PL I see opportunities for many of the "8 Things to Look For", some more so during PD days while others more so at staff meetings. However, what I'd like to see more of is Time for Reflection and Self Assessment. #delinnovate

#delinnovate I can make learning go viral by sharing my enthusiasm for all the amazing tools and resources we have at our disposal. Once others' see the benefits and the possibilities behind them, they will want to try them out too! Sharing and collaborating is key! @cbjjaffe

@alexakangel @cbjjaffe Great point, Alexa! I agree. :) I think we sometimes forget to share all the wonderful things that happen in our classrooms each day. I think @Seesaw is a great way to share those positives, especially with parents!

To make great learning go “viral” in schools, it is important to share the positive experiences that are happening in classrooms everyday. I think teachers could benefit from the perspective of Derek Sivers, "Obvious to You. Amazing to Others." @cbjjaffe #delinnovate

@cbjjaffe I make learning go viral in my school by SHARING with others! I am constantly sending resources to my team & collaborating with my QUEST Teacher @mbrevic! This has led to opportunities for me to share tech tips/apps at faculty mtgs! Sharing is everything! #delinnovate🤗

@cbjjaffe An initiative I would love to see in my building is a different approach to homework. I'd like to incorporate more student choice and innovation in the way Ss demonstrate their understanding. I model this by trying and implementing new things each year. #delinnovate

@kdeibert1 @cbjjaffe I think this is so important. When we try new brain breaks in our classroom, I often end by asking the students to reflect on what we did well, and what would have made the activity run smoother. It's a nice way of getting the students started with reflecting.

@cblitoub @cbjjaffe I COMPLETELY agree! I think it's so important to show your Ss that it's okay to try something new. I experimented the same way with apps this year, sometimes things went great, and sometimes they didn't, but that's what we're trying to help the kids understand is okay, right?!🙂

@cbjjaffe I can empower Ss to take risks by showing them I will take risks myself! This year, I taught new apps right there with my Ss! Ss had a chance to watch me use my GRIT & know that it’s okay to make mistakes in the process of learning! Modeling is everything! #delinnovate

@cbjjaffe I can empower my students to take risks by first forming relationships with my students. I want to create a culture of learning in my classroom where students feel safe to try new things, fail, and still want to try again. #delinnovate

@FRIENDs_in3rd @cbjjaffe I love how you mentioned allowing time for student reflection! I feel like we often miss that in our daily lessons because of time constraints, but it's so important and really brings learning full circle. 😀

I can create more opportunities for innovation by supporting students in the search for answers to THEIR OWN questions and allowing time for student reflections @cbjjaffe #delinnovate

@cbjjaffe I can create opportunities for innovation by helping to “spark curiosity that empowers students”. Allowing students to be in the moment and explore the questions that are most meaningful to them will naturally allow for more innovative thinking. #delinnovate

Great collection of #multimedia alternatives to poster boards via @amandacdykes. We're using @Seesaw, @adobespark, @ThingLink, @padlet and @Storybird in @RangLeanne. I would highly recommend them #edtech #elearning #edutech #edchatie
