After 7 years of CB6 advocacy, this East 34th St parking lot is finally being transformed into new public #OpenSpace on the East River. Glad to see this project coming to life with the help of @KeithPowersNYC, @NYCEDC & @NYCParks. Can't wait until the spring when it's done!

For over 30 years, this lot has been a park for cars. But soon, with the support of CB 6, @NYCParks and @NYCEDC it will become a park for people. Proud to deliver this transformation here on East 34th Street and create a new open space on the waterfront for all to enjoy.

The Captain Patrick J. Brown Walk - between 15th & 20th St. on the East River is closed until 2027, creating a clear window to fix longstanding issues: rust, cracked concrete, and graffiti. We’re urging @NYSDOT to coordinate repairs now so it's fully restored for the public.
