Tomorrow, March 20th, is national "Wear Red Day". Student Council is asking the school to wear red to raise awareness of "Show Racism the Red Card" campaign. €2 contribution, all proceeds to the Immigrant Council of Ireland.

On this day 50 years ago Mitchelstown CBS lost out narrowly to Tralee CBS in the Final of the @MunsterGAA Senior Colleges Football Championship at a rain-swept Buttevant. The North-Cork lads lost on a full time score line of 1-04 to 0-03 #corkfootballhistory #mitchelstown

#GlobalAwareness Eight of our TY students are participating in the Loreto Clonmel Model UN this week. Today, day 1, begins with welcoming and keynote speeches. These will be followed with lobbying, whereby delegations who have written potential resolutions seek co-signatories 1/2

Our LCAs were developing their culinary skills by making homemade burgers today. #LifeSkills

Our TYs had a fantastic forensic science workshop this morning, where they interrogated the mystery around the murder of JFK. #tyworkshop

Congrats to our LCA1 student James O’Donoghue who won his All-Ireland U17 semi-final fight v Blake O’Carroll (Ulster) on Sat in Dublin. Unfortunately James lost the final to Emmett Shields. It's an incredible achievement to be at this level, we are all proud of James here in CBS.

Our Wellbeing Week had some fantastic speakers, especially local community Garda John Hennessy who spoke about online safety on Wednesday, and Conor Harris who spoke today about addiction, recovery and resilience. Sincere thanks to all our speakers. #wellbeingweek2026

Many thanks to all students and all the stands that were on display at our annual Careers Fair today in Mitchelstown Community Leisure Centre. The day was a huge success. Huge congratulations to Ms Sinead Ryan and Ms Carmel Ryan for organising such a well received event 👏👏
