Ngl i kinda lost interest in the story since there is absolutely nothing about Widow, she got like 1 line of dialogue in that Freja comic and was visible in the cinematic and thats it for like the past year. Really starting to feel the reason Sombra, Reaper and Widow left was just to write them off to focus mainly on the new heroes.

@paloma_datgirl makes no sense it wouldnt be mudbending it would still be two seperate things water bender being able to take the mositure out of the mud n leaving dried dirt while an eartth bender makes the mud into a solid dirt ball leaving the water behind

Mudbending is lowkey one of the biggest bending debates in Avatar 😭 Because if mud is literally made of water + earth, then who does it actually belong to? An earthbender can control the dirt in it, but a waterbender can also manipulate the water inside it. So technically both sides should have some level of control over mud. And the more you think about it, the more the whole “four separate elements” idea starts falling apart. Bloodbending, plantbending, lavabending, mudbending… all of them feel like proof that the elements overlap way more than the nations make it seem.

@paloma_datgirl Guru Pathik said that the separation of the elements is an illusion, so I took mudbending as an example of that. There’s also other overlaps like Sandbenders functionally being airbenders, Iroh incorporating waterbending philosophy in his lightning bending , etc
