In Brussels, I visited Ukrainian warriors undergoing treatment at one of the military hospital. They were wounded while defending Ukraine in the Donetsk region. I spoke with the guys and presented them with state awards. I’m grateful to our warriors for defending Ukraine. We are proud of our heroes.

Під час нашої зустрічі з Генеральним секретарем НАТО Марком Рютте обговорили кроки, які посилять Україну та допоможуть у нашій боротьбі. Дякую країнам – членам Альянсу, які допомагають розвивати українське оборонне виробництво, відбудовувати обʼєкти критичної інфраструктури та надають військову допомогу. Ми розраховуємо на готовність членів НАТО до наступного саміту НАТО в Гаазі забезпечити вже оголошену ними фінансову допомогу Україні на загальну суму 40 мільярдів євро.

Ukraine’s invitation to NATO will strengthen us diplomatically and bring us closer to a real and just peace. Ukraine deserves to become the 33rd member of NATO, and we will do everything to make that happen. During our meeting with @SecGenNATO Mark Rutte, we discussed steps that will further strengthen Ukraine and help us in our fight. I thank the NATO member states for helping to develop Ukraine’s defense production, rebuild critical infrastructure, and provide military assistance. We count on the readiness of NATO members to deliver the already announced financial aid to Ukraine, totaling €40 billion, by the next NATO Summit in The Hague.

Засідання Ради Україна – НАТО на рівні міністрів оборони, яке відбулося вчора у Брюсселі. Зараз маємо діяти рішуче і в єдності, щоб не дати Путіну посилитися й розпалювати війну далі. Зброя і спорядження для наших воїнів, ППО, далекобійність, дуже важливо – зміцнення нашої оборонної промисловості шляхом відповідних інвестицій, реалізація домовленостей щодо фінансової допомоги. Все це чіткі кроки для більшого захисту та безпеки наших людей і країн. Лише спільним тиском на Росію всіма засобами, всіма інструментами можемо якнайшвидше досягти нашої мети – реального й справедливого миру.

The meeting of the Ukraine–NATO Council at the level of defense ministers took place yesterday in Brussels. Right now, we must act decisively and in unity to prevent Putin from gaining strength and further fueling the war. Weapons and equipment for our warriors, air defense systems, long-range capabilities, and – crucially – strengthening our defense industry through appropriate investments, along with implementing financial aid agreements, are all critical steps to enhancing the protection and security of our people and countries. Only through joint pressure on Russia, using all available means and tools, can we achieve our goal of a real and just peace as quickly as possible.

Сьогодні ми продовжуємо ініціативу держави, започатковану торік, яка вже стала традицією. І це те найменше, що має робити Україна для своїх героїв, це одне з мільйонів «дякую», які держава має й буде казати своїм найкращим синам і донькам. Сьогодні тут представлені різні види й роди військ, різні історії та долі, але від держави завжди буде однакова повага й шана до кожного з вас, до всіх українських воїнів, до кожного підрозділу Сил безпеки та оборони. Я дякую вам усім! Ваша відвага та сила надихають. Ваш героїзм і самовідданість слугують прикладом. Ваш вибір – вибір на користь свободи, на користь життя, на користь України. Усе це допомогло Україні вистояти. Усе це допоможе Україні перемогти.

Today, we continue the state initiative that was launched last year and has already become a tradition. This is the least Ukraine can do for its heroes – one of the millions of “Thank you” the state must, and will, express to its best sons and daughters. Today, different types and branches of the military, with different histories and destinies, are represented here. Yet, the state will always show the same respect and honor to each of you, to all Ukrainian warriors, and to every unit of the Security and Defense Forces. I thank all of them. Their courage and strength are an inspiration. Their heroism and dedication set an example. Their choice – the choice for freedom, for life, for Ukraine – has helped Ukraine endure. And it will help Ukraine prevail.

We are working on the results of our recent negotiations – meetings in Europe and discussions with our partners. I had a conversation with President Biden, and we are preparing for meetings in Ukraine with the American team, including political and military representatives. We are developing our Victory Plan in discussions with our partners. Additionally, preparations for the second Peace Summit – good faith diplomacy – are underway. Our goal is to end the war in a way that guarantees safety and peace for all Ukrainians and for Ukraine as a whole. I am grateful to every leader and every country that has understood our security arguments and is ready to help steer the current situation toward peace.

When we think of terrorists, Russian soldiers should come to mind. Russia is a terrorist state. Wagner is a terrorist organization. Terror was always deeply rooted in the arsenal of the Red Army and it lives on - the collapse of the Soviet Union did not change a thing.

This is a Russian tank T-72 that was destroyed by Ukrainian 🇺🇦 defenders in March 2022. It will be exhibited in #Estonia. This tank is a symbol of Russia's brutal invasion. It also shows that the aggressor can be defeated. Let's help Ukraine defend freedom. #StandWithUkraine
