An old but classic video. Jewish-American actor @jakegyllenhaal was featured on “Shalom Sesame” where he highlighted the Passover tradition of hiding (and finding) the afikomen matzah.

Wishing everyone a happy and meaningful Passover. We at Creative Community for Peace are hoping this holiday that celebrates freedom finally brings liberation to the Iranian people and finally frees the Middle East from the Islamic regime.

In his 2002 comedy special “Live on Broadway,” Robin Williams delivers a rapid and humorous retelling of the Passover story, blending historical events with his signature wit. He portrays Moses leading the Israelites out of Egypt, humorously advising them to avoid shellfish and joking about the challenges of wandering in the desert for 40 years. 🥹❤️

In the face of relentless missile attacks from the Islamic Republic, something remarkable is unfolding in Tel Aviv. In Florentin, long known as the city’s creative heartbeat, artists and cultural leaders are transforming bomb shelters into spaces of connection and community. At Creative Community for Peace, we stand with them. Even under fire, the creative spirit endures. We are praying for the safety and security of all those in harm’s way, and for a future where communities no longer have to create under the threat of violence. Credit: Unpacked

American-Iranian comedian Max Amini draws a clear line between the Persian people and the Islamic regime that rules over them. We’ve said it before, and we will say it again: the people of Iran are not their government. For 47 years, they have been held hostage by a repressive regime and they deserve freedom more than anyone.

What an absolute KWEEN. Israeli electronic pop singer Noga Erez shut down an antisemitic message by exposing just how absurd these haters really are. But the reality is this: Noga (and far too many Jewish artists) are constantly targeted by this kind of hate. We need to show up, speak out, and make it clear that these voices are not the majority. Haters are a fringe and they will not define the space.

Iran is now isolating its own athletes, banning national and club teams from traveling to so-called “hostile” countries under the claim of safety. This doesn’t protect players, it restricts them, forcing matches to be relocated and disrupting international competitions, including World Cup plans. As tensions rise, it’s once again ordinary Iranians paying the price for political decisions.

What should have been a simple family tribute turned into pure online hate. Sydney Sweeney is facing a wave of abuse after posting support for her brother in the US military and honoring all service members, with users spreading conspiracies, antisemitism, and even wishing him dead. This isn’t criticism, it’s dehumanization, and it shows just how far online hate has gone.

Israelis have created life and community underground. Today, during one of the endless barrages of missiles fired by the regime in Iran, barrages that have forced millions into shelters and turned basements, garages, and stations into makeshift communities, restaurant kitchen staff began serving tiramisu dessert to others in the shelter. Because even under fire, Israelis don’t just endure, they rebuild normalcy, share what they have, and refuse to let terror define the human moment.

Israeli children are decorating the remnants of a ballistic missile, one launched by an Islamic regime with the sole intent of killing as many civilians as possible. These are not abstract targets. These are children. Innocent lives placed directly in the path of weapons designed for maximum destruction. No matter your politics, the reality is clear: a regime willing to fire missiles at civilian populations is willing to harm children. That is the standard we are confronting. And that is why such actors cannot be allowed to obtain or expand the weapons that enable this kind of terror, against Israel, or anywhere in the world. Credit: Erik Marmor

Thank you to @BoyGeorge for doing what more celebrities should be doing. With the overwhelming rise in violent antisemitism around the world, it’s time to check on your Jewish friends, colleagues, and communities, and to speak up. Thank you Boy George ♥️

Artists don’t exist outside of conflict, they absorb it, respond to it, and carry its weight. Israeli band Orphaned Land has postponed their show in light of the ongoing war, a reminder that even music is not immune to the realities facing the region. Iranian artists and athletes have endured intimidation, imprisonment, and violence simply for standing with their people. Our thoughts are with Israelis, Iranians, and all those across the Middle East navigating the human cost of this moment. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Israelis, Iranians and the entire Middle East.

Another important take by Sara Eisen on @TheView. No American wants war. It would always be easier to look away. But when a regime that has slaughtered tens of thousands of its own people openly chants “Death to America,” silence is not peace. A true commitment to peace means refusing to ignore violence, oppression, and incitement wherever they exist. Peace requires clarity. It requires courage. And it requires standing against those who threaten human life and dignity, at home and abroad.

The best form of victory 😉 Dua Lipa is among the artists who have amplified boycott rhetoric under the banner of “helping Palestinians.” But these movements don’t bring peace, they deepen division. And it’s a shame. Because she has Israeli fans. Israelis who are victims. Israelis who are heroes. Israelis who simply want to live in peace and dignity. Artists like Dua Lipa have global influence. They can bring people together across borders and identities. They should use that power to unite, not to promote narratives that divide.

The Iranian regime has executed 19-year-old champion wrestler Saleh Mohammadi for protesting, a brutal public killing meant to silence a nation demanding freedom. Alongside him, Mehdi Ghasemi and Saeed Davoodi were also executed. Human rights activists are calling this what it is, a political murder and a warning to anyone who dares to speak out. “Iran must be banned from international competitions,” activists say, as the regime continues targeting athletes and protesters. The world cannot stay silent while lives are destroyed for demanding basic rights.
