Heads up, #FortLauderdale- tomorrow, 6/30, the @FlaPanthers are taking the party to #FTLBeach for their Championship Celebration, a high-impact event which will bring a lot of activity & people to this area.
For Sunday, June 30, tents and tables will not be allowed on FTL Beach south of E Las Olas Blvd.
Read the City Manager memo for additional details at ftlcity.info/panthersmemo
🚧 Road closures on the barrier island will go into effect starting as early as 8:30 AM on Sunday. Rideshare, carpools, park and rides, water taxi and alternative forms of transportation are encouraged.
Increased traffic and gridlock should be expected throughout the City, especially downtown, where parking garages are expected to fill up quickly.
Residents:
🚦 Expect an increase in traffic citywide- not just near the beach.
🚦 If you plan to drive in Fort Lauderdale (especially on the barrier island) on Sunday, be prepared for significant delays.
🚦 Make sure to plan ahead & complete any regular Sunday activities, such as grocery shopping, by Sat, 6/29, or wait until Mon, 7/1.
We thank you for your patience as we celebrate this historic achievement.
