Markets can open doors, create opportunities, and drive growth. But without a moral compass, they risk leaving people behind. True progress lies in balancing freedom with responsibility. #CCSINDIA

What happens when 80 teachers step out of their classrooms and become learners again? On 7–8 March 2026, the Centre for Civil Society hosted a Teacher Training Workshop under the Language Learning Lab Initiative, facilitated by English Helper. Educators from 13 schools came together to reflect, experiment, and rethink how language learning can be strengthened in classrooms. The workshop began with an honest conversation about “Classroom Reality.” Teachers shared everyday challenges - from mixed proficiency levels to students’ hesitation in speaking English. The space quickly turned into one of collective problem-solving. During the Solution Matrix session, educators worked together to connect real classroom challenges with practical teaching strategies and digital tools. The learning remained hands-on and practical. Using a 6-step lesson planning framework, teachers designed classroom-ready activities - leaving with ideas they could implement in their very next class. A dedicated session on cyber safety ensured teachers are also equipped to guide and protect students in increasingly digital learning environments. Teachers from KPS Convent, SR Capital Sr. Secondary School, Hari Vidya Bhawan, Vivek Modern School, New Sainik International School, Nav Jeewan Model School, Little Flowers Public School, Suman Vidya Mandir Sr. Sec. School, Surya Model School, Sai Nath Public School, OPS International, City Modern Public School, and Sunshine School participated in the workshop. When teachers learn together, classrooms transform. And when classrooms transform, students’ possibilities expand. #TeacherTraining #LanguageLearning #EducationInnovation #DigitalLearning #CyberSafety #ccsindia #EnglishHelper #EducationForImpact

February was a month of ideas, dialogue, and action at CCS. From hosting a Colloquium on Migration in Mumbai, to empowering 110 students with STEM and AI skills, to building confidence through the Savitribai Phule Speaking Bee, the momentum continued. We also expanded our State Regulatory Profile series with the Bihar report and deepened policy conversations through eBaithak. Research. Dialogue. Where Curiosity Meets Confidence Bootcamp at Government Polytechnic Panaji Sometimes, all it takes is the right room, the right conversations, and the right guidance to spark clarity. Under the P&G Betiyan Scholarship Project, the Centre for Civil Society (CCS) hosted an engaging Bootcamp at Government Polytechnic Panaji, bringing together 24 scholars from: 📍 Government Polytechnic Panaji, Goa 📍 Government Polytechnic Bicholim, Goa 📍 Agnel Institute of Technology and Design, Goa Across six thoughtfully designed sessions, the focus wasn’t just on learning; it was on understanding and applying. Scholars explored how to use AI responsibly and effectively, discovered emerging STEM opportunities, mapped potential career pathways, and reflected on the importance of financial literacy in shaping independent futures. What stood out most? The questions. The reflections. The “I never thought about it this way” moments. “Confidence grows when knowledge meets action.” With 24 driven young minds in the room, the Bootcamp became more than a session - it became a space for exploration, dialogue, and possibility. Step by step, conversation by conversation, we continue nurturing future-ready scholars who are prepared not just to find opportunities, but to create them.
