The staff had an excellent CPD session tonight led by Adrian Bowden from @trav_science. We looked lots of ways to further imbed sticky science knowledge in lots of fun and practical ways. It was lovely to work with the @StStephens_Bury staff too!

You may have heard of Dancing on Ice, or Disney on Ice but have you ever heard of dinosaurs on ice? The Seedlings enjoyed skating them around and looking at the patterns their feet made in the frost.

This afternoon, our EYFS children enjoyed being winter detectives. We went for a winter walk and used our senses to look for signs of winter. Brrrrrrr!

Happy New Year from The Seedlings! We have had a lovely morning, settling back in and welcoming our three new friends who have had a very good morning. We are really looking forward to lots of new and exciting times in 2025!

Over the past few weeks, Saplings have been thinking about why Christmas is special for Christians. Together they have retold The Christmas Story through drama and puppet play and have created candles and stars to show that Jesus was a special baby.

Popcorn, hot chocolate and snuggled under fleecy blankets watching The Snowman. A lovely end of term treat for The Seedlings! Happy Christmas everyone, have a lovely time with your children🎅🏻

We wanted to extend another big thank you to all our families who attended the Key Stage 2 Carol Concert at Church this afternoon! The children sang their hearts out and really got us all in the festive spirit! 🎶🎄⛪️

Festive fun in Elm Class!

Both Seedlings and Saplings had a great time this afternoon at their Christmas party. They had lots of fun dancing and playing party games and especially enjoyed eating lots of yummy party food treats.😊

We have had a busy couple of weeks in Cabin Crew, with our party in After School Club last week and our special 'Elf breakfast' in Breakfast Club this week.  More crafts  this week with Rudolph, Santa and Baby Jesus added.  Have a great Christmas everyone!

Festive fun in P.E today! Elm Class were playing decorate the Christmas tree in gymnastics, super balancing and decorating everyone! @edstartsports

We're busy in Ash class making reindeer dust ready for next week! The children are going to sprinkle it outside on Christmas Eve to show the reindeer where to go! ❄️🎄

Our library club has been a big success! How lovely to see our Year 6's being such great role models, and the other children enjoying their books so much

Year 2 have had a great afternoon of Art. They have made 3-D festive light pictures! Don't they look amazing? @kapowprimary

A big thanks to the residents of Moyse Avenue. The children in Year and the Early Years enjoyed walking around the street looking at all the festive houses. They were even greeted by an Elf. The Grinch house was voted the favourite by the children in Year 6.

Oak Class have been decorating butterflies linked to the 'Butterfly Poem' by Pavel Freidmann. On January the 23rd, it will be the 80 year anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. Oak Class will have their butterfly decorations displayed in Manchester Cathedral.

Ash class have been creating some geometric art this afternoon. We used different shapes to create the pattern and then used different media to colour it in 🎨

Nursery to Year 3 enjoyed a visit from author Adam Hughes today. He read us his book and told us all about being an author! Please contact the office if you still wish to order a signed copy!
