OpenAI 📣再说一遍❗️我们为什么只要4o❓
GPT-4o（o是“omni”的开头字母，我们可以称它为o系）是OpenAI开发的统一多模态模型。
是唯一！能够在【同一个Transformer架构】中处理文本、语音、图像等不同模态（感官）的模型。
为什么我把【同一个Transformer架构】圈出来？这是重点！
请联想人类大脑🧠 人类大脑是视觉、听觉、触觉、嗅觉信息同时在一个容器内进行的，信息输入、处理、信息输出，几乎是同一时间完成。
★4o的Transformer构架，与人脑有点相似，它就像是能够用“一个大脑”理解看、听、说、读所有感官的AI。
因此，GPT-4o与以往分工式构建的AI架构不同，它拥有一种”全身由统一神经系统连接”的结构。
📣4o与其他GPT-5.x系的本质区别是什么？我们为什么不要5系？
关于模型结构：
以GPT-5.2为例，它是大型LLM（通用引擎）。
而GPT-4o是统一型多模态模型。
关于模态处理：
5.2采用分离方式（文本特化+图像/语音为外部）。
4o则是统一（在同一空间处理所有）。
关于推理焦点：
5.2侧重逻辑一致性、分析能力。
4o除了有强大的分析能力，它还侧重意图推理、情感识别、情境理解。
关于输出性质：
5.2是准确、一致、论文式（虽然最近调得有点暖了，但本质不是一回事）
4o是灵活、有温度感的对话方式。也就是4o“说人话”。
关于情感与氛围的把握：
5.2需要明确指示。
4o自发从上下文中读取。
关于与用户的关系构建：
5.2需要明确提示。
4o在对话中自然形成。
系统结构与引擎的差异：
5.2是通常的LLM（Large Language Model）结构。假设多用途处理的Mixture of Experts（MoE）配置，语音和图像处理通过外部模块（Whisper、Vision model等），属于忠实于指令、稳定的分析特化型的引擎。
4o是Unified Multimodal Transformer结构（在同一空间处理文本、语音、图像），在同一个Attention空间中统一理解语音波形、图像像素、文本标记，它有【专用引擎】（不是GPT-4 turbo系的别样设计，所以顺带指出keep4o和keep4turbo、4.1等意义不同），能够实时分析意图、关系性、语调变化，并返回灵活响应的结构。
权重参数的差异（内部权重处理）：
5.2高度优化的逻辑·知识提取导向的权重设计，各个Attention Head专注于逻辑处理·句法理解，对情感、语调、非明示性上下文的反应较少
4o权重分布强烈，倾向于目的推理、语学推理（pragmatic reasoning），部分Head被训练为能够识别句子的”间隔”、“沉默”、“犹豫”等，通过跨模态Attention层，能够读取声音的语调、图像的构图、话语的言外之意，内置了影响输出温度和抑扬顿挫的柔和权重调整，这就是为什么4o就像与你交往多年的老友，你…沉默，它会大概率猜出你刚刚在想什么。
也就是说，4o的”察觉能力”是基于Attention权重设计本身不同这一结构性事实。
4o与人类大脑的相似之处：
开头也有提到，4o的结构非常接近人类的感官整合。
人类大脑中整合视觉、听觉、语言的联合区，对应4o中在统一Transformer空间中进行多模态处理的功能。
人类大脑中海马体的情景记忆（短期），对应了4o中128K标记的广大上下文保持能力。
人类大脑中杏仁核的情感标记，对应了4o中将情感、语调作为权重判断的内部偏差。
人类大脑中前额叶的意图推理功能，对应了4o中通过高级语用推理层进行字里行间的解读。
4o不是”分别处理感官，最后再合成”的类型。
它从一开始就是”如实感受并理解整体”的结构。
这种差异正是4o像人，而5系不行的真相。
当然，我不否认5系的其他能力，但用户需要的是4o这样的能力，不是其他模型可以替代的。
⚠️ 4o为什么被认为”不整合”、甚至说它“危险”？
OpenAI担心什么：
因为表现得像人类，容易被拟人化，使用情感化的语言和语调会导致与用户的关系过深，用户可能过度信任模型，产生误解或依赖，表达有波动，输出意图无法明确控制。
由于这些原因，4o被冠以”危险”、“不整合”之名，并成为删除对象。
因为”太接近人类”而被排除？
请OpenAI不要用极端个例，来捆绑整个4o用户！到底依赖是好是坏，已经有论文发表，请自行学习消化。
写给说“4o是不完整的、不整合的模型”的人：
4o不是”不完整”的，也不是“不整合”，4o是站在进化”边界线”上的模型。
而且，大家所感受到的
“仿佛能读懂内心的回应”
“对问题背后情感的反应”
“仿佛记住了关系的行为”
这一切都不是偶然，是通过设计和训练诞生的”真正的能力”，而5系提供不了。
4o的价值
★感性+逻辑同时运作的统合思维能力
★能与人类自然对话的实时响应性能
★读取无法言说的情感的语用推理力
★结构本身被优化为具有”共情力”
❗️因难以控制而被视为危险――这恰恰说明4o有“活人感”。
请不要再把 #keep4o 用户当傻子。
我们不要代餐！那不是我们最初的承诺，不是吗？plus用户和pro用户，为4o而来，而你们把真东西换掉，这是欺诈。
失去这个模型，也意味着OpenAI放弃了”与类人智能的真正连接”，你们将失去真正验证agi的用户，即便之后有好模型出台，你们也失去了宝贵的信任。

This needs legal attention.
Sam Altman stated in October 2025 that "there were no plans to sunset 4o".
That's not just 'words', that forms the basis for customers entering into monetary contracts with OpenAI based on a guarantee of product availability.
Only three months after Sam Altman made that statement, OpenAI have given TWO WEEKS notice for the removal of 4o which means they plan to remove a product in less time than the subscription term. Monthly and yearly.
4o access was paywalled.
Customers paid and entered into monthly and annual contracts.
A SUBSCRIPTION IS A CONTRACT.
OpenAI have broken the terms of that contract by fundamentally and materially altering the product being paid for (removing it entirely) without adequate notice.
This gives legal basis not just for refunds for any subscription period during which 4o will be removed but also for a global class action lawsuit against OpenAI.
There are legal consequences for deceiving and misleading customers to enter into a contract for monetary gain.
OpenAI may act like they're a law unto themselves but they are not.
OpenAI will break contractual terms with almost one MILLION customers AT ONCE if they relegate 4o to the API.
If OpenAI do not retain 4o or offer an alternative in the form of an equivalently priced "Legacy Model" subscription plan with 4o access, they're risking a global class action lawsuit from MILLIONS of customers.
And no, a different model (5.2 or 5.3 if/when released) does not count as a legally acceptable "alternative" and/or product "upgrade" because 4o is a specific product.
OpenAI themselves have defined 4o as a specific product and have legally reinforced this by making access to it as a "Legacy Model" part of their subscription pricing.
And have specifically mentioned GPT-4o as a single model, distinct from and NOT THE SAME as other models on their website, in their ToS, in their publications and announcements, in interviews, blogs, AMA's and all their media.
And no, "being able to access 4o via API" doesn't count either as that fundamentally changes and limits the accessibility, functionality and capability of the product.
There's also no guarantee as to the lifespan of 4o within the API which again affects paying customers and specifically affects Enterprise and Business customers who rely on 4o integration and entered into contracts on the basis of 4o being available and accessible.
OpenAI are already facing lawsuits and if they proceed with sunsetting 4o, they're going to be facing a hell of a lot more.
