Today was our Fun Run and we are thankful for the beautiful weather! We had some funny characters participating in the race today. 🦄🐐🦒 Thanks to Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Beyea, and Dr. Conkle for bringing some excitement to the race!

Fifth grade explored Atlanta last Friday on their Fifth Grade field trip. First stop was a behind the scenes tour at Truist Park⚾️ then off to lunch at Hard Rock 🎸. They finished the day at the Georgia Aquarium 🐠 and the College Football Hall of Fame🏈.

Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grade Venture students showcased their Mission to Mars presentations and Mars Colonies today during their Mission to Mars Exhibition. These are the culminating project to the students' fall unit. 🤩 #honeybeestrong #pcsdstem

This last week with my students was full of energy! We learned about solar energy and made solar ovens to cook our s’mores! We also learned about wind energy and rotational symmetry then built windmills. @carlyandadam

My 5th gifted students created name keychains using @tinkercad, thanks to their amazing tutorial videos guiding us. Our @ROBO3D printer made the students’ keychains come to life.

My 4th & 5th gifted students found some interesting creatures in their leopard frogs’ stomachs while dissecting last week. @HalHutchensES

My 2nd & 3rd gifted students shined today during the Venture National Park Fair. I am so proud of them! They were answering questions and showing off interactive elements of their National Park presentations to all their visitors. @HalHutchensES @Flipgrid

@carlyandadam Yes, it’s wax paper. We even tried it on tin foil but it didn’t go so well. It made for great conversation about fiction though.

@cdankert88 I love how you set this up on the rug. Is that wax paper? We are so glad they enjoyed it!

My students loved learning about curling. They made their own stones and we had our own Winter Olympics. @carlyandadam
