The first week attack of the clones came out, most loved it (even those who hated episode I) and thought it was a return to form. It didn't start to be "widely hated" until the love story became socially unacceptable.

Yep. People forget that in the late 90s/early 00s a lot of the high flying forums really did host a ton of the new gen of tastemakers. From those forums came concentrated prequel hate. You can actually track it in old internet archives, it didnt fully break containment until 2007.

It doesn't just suck. The Phantom Menace has my vote for the worst Hollywood blockbuster ever made. It's an atrocious film with incoherent plotting and terrible acting. Plus the character of Jar-Jar Binks, King of Cringe, which makes several scenes unwatchably embarrassing.

@cdatkins74 @DamonLinker Like I said, tastemakers not the whole. The stats are pretty clear that even tho Gen X is the most negative gen about them its about 80-20 in favor. Not that the critics ever bother with numbers, as they are as innumerate as they are illiterate and tasteless.

I think part of the reason fans were so quick to get frustrated with DDV as Year 1 spiraled out of control is that there were no vets we'd spent time with to be invested in. • Archie Year 1 had senior RoJo, Juwan, Hartman. • Woody Year 1 had TJD, Race, Rob.

@MuseHoosier Wisconsin is 19-8 and won at home, State lost to Minnesota on the road, UCLA is 18-9 and that game was in LA. Those aforementioned teams can afford to lose a game. We can't. Not a great take.

MUSE PSA 🎙️ Dooming the DDV era before his 1st season is even over is dumb and irresponsible. It does nothing but hurt the program. Building a program is on the fans just as much as it is the HC. Sure, this season is frustrating. But rattle off 3 straight wins or a little run in the B1G tourney and they're right there. Trust that DDV learns and adjusts from this season and into the next. Let's be real, the overall talent on this roster is not cut out for the B1G. He missed in the transfer portal (had to build an entire team btw) and that happens. BUT... He's recruited high school well so far. He's more involved in the community than the two coaches before him. The lack of effort that was so prevalent in past teams is not there. Say what you want, but this team plays hard. This team can shoot the dang ball and is EXCITING when they're hot, something we've wanted to see and have been asking to see for YEARS. Be critical on some things, but don't doom the new era before it's even begun. Trust DDV and trust Scott Dolson. Be responsible fans, and root like hell for these guys to finish the year strong.

Guys like Josh Dix, Conwell And Harralson 5 star who chose Notre Dame. So I’m interested in a full offseason of recruiting

I always felt that Indiana Basketball and the NIL era were a marriage destined for overnight success. Unfairly, Coach Cig only accelerated those thoughts in my mind, if football can do it in a year certainly IUBB can.
