@AdamMyerson Exeter, 2013 or so. You mentioned to me that the newly painted crosswalks looked slick. No issues. With four to go I am pulling my sprinter Gary Steinberg up to the front, when I go through the corner and my front wheel washes out. I get up and mutter to myself "Fn' Adam!".

@AdamMyerson Well, if I'm assigned to work a race this summer, I'm wearing a mask. Period. End of story. And if I'm CR I'll use a megaphone. I was asked by USAC what should be in place to get back to racing and it was a pretty long list.

There are no good studies or data on transmission in a pack. You should assume if someone has COVID in your peloton, and you're all unmasked, you're exposed. Of course you can't know. But do you want to be the case study?

Here’s your dilemma to ponder: if racing is starting in CT and NH in July, but MA is still restricting people to groups of 10 or less with masks, but unrestricted travel to and from MA from NE/NY/NJ is now permitted, what are the ethics there? And what is the point of anything?

In 2019 I created a list of US-based diversity-focused cycling clubs. Now seems like a really good time to bring it to people's attention again. Maybe you see a club here you can help. Maybe there's some missing info you can provide. Use it as you will: #gid=0" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d…

@AdamMyerson I had two aggressive on road incidents yesterday on a 52 minute ride. I don't live in the city, either. Traffic is increasing as people are going back to work but the lawless, inconsiderate driving behavior I witnessed during the peak of the pandemic is still out there.

Today on my ride, after a guy pinched me into a parked car trying to pass me with oncoming traffic on our way to a stop light, he asked me if I watched the Lance documentary last night, as a way to fuck with me. So that’s what I think about that.

@AdamMyerson Myself and one other used to be the only people seen on bikes in my neighborhood. Now it's like a MUP. Dozens of people riding multiple times a day.

I always love Carleton Reid’s writing. This piece explains a lot I didn’t know about why bikes were ubiquitous growing up in the 70s. It makes me wonder about racing, too. The more people who ride bikes for recreation, the more who’ll want to race, too. forbes.com/sites/carltonr…

OK Bike Twitter, reached the stage of quarantine that thinking it’s time to upgrade the indoor set up (especially if no races happen this year and outdoors are canceled) Considering everything from just another fan to making a rocker plate or a smart direct drive trainer

@LHausle That script they are reading from needs to be updated for a GLOBAL PANDEMIC. Good luck, I hope it causes you minimal pain.

@alanatwoodars I don't expect to be working at all this year, but I think CX has a shot. There are two regional governor's alliances in New England. Let's see what they come up with.

So following the bread crumbs here; looks like July is now going to be "off-limits" as well. It's looking very much likely that road/mountain/track season is gone. Will cross soon follow?

@resultsboy So many mask wearers think it's a free pass to get close. Drives me crazy. Makes shopping very stressful. Same thing at work.

I had not been to the grocery store in 2 weeks, impressive how the ratio of masks to non-masks has completely flipped in that time

@velospence The towns would not give us a permit. Understandable. We will need them next year so it's best to just move on.
