@Concern70732755 @PierrePoilievre I agree. This should be illegal, as according to the Election Act. Please, could someone in power do something about this travesty.

The longest ballot committee plans to add up to 200 names in the @PierrePoilievre by election !! This is a direct attack on the electoral process and the cornerstone of our democracy-this must end !

@MBDan7 So, is this ban on gas vehicles by 2035 true?

BREAKING NEWS Conservatives have moved a motion to REPEAL the Liberals' gas-powered vehicle ban. When you take away someone’s vehicle, you take away their individual freedom. There are few policies that will devastate Canadians more than this one. It must be scrapped.

@winnipegtransit No, I do not remember you asking me. I thought that transit users' concerns were about safety.

Hey Winnipeg: remember when we asked you what you wanted in a transit system? You told us you wanted a more efficient, frequent, reliable, and accessible bus service. Get ready, because the Primary Transit Network and its feeder routes are coming! youtu.be/j8_2igoMnxw?si…

When the sun's up before you are, you know #Winnipeg is nearing the endgame of gaining daylight. Today's the first day in 2025 it rose before 6 a.m. (it rose at 5:59.) It will rise before 5 a.m. every day through Aug. 1. (Also, May the Fourth be with all the nerds.) #StarWarsDay

I refuse to believe that Canadians, even the comfortably well-off who own their homes and receive pensions and government cheques, are about to re-elect the same backroom elite Ottawa insiders and the same cabinet ministers who have brought so much misery to Canada over the decade.

This is baseless conjecture presented as fact. In 2019, a letter claiming this arrived in mailboxes just before the federal election. This is not happening. It was a lie then and it is a lie now. Shame on @marty_morantz and the Winnipeg Sun for encouraging disinformation.

🚨Absolutely SHOCKING report quietly released by the Government in January which predicts what Canada may look like in 15 years.🚨 A must read! I've seen some references to it on here, but no summaries of the whole report. I decided to dig a little deeper. 🧵👇

I should set about memorising this little room: This is probably the very moment to store it all, Earlobes tasting of salt, a dying language Of perfume, and the heart of someone Hanging open on its hinges like a gate. . . . — Lawrence Durrell Sommières (credit: Erica Lennard)

Prospero's Cell is still, I believe, one of Lawrence Durrell's best books — is indeed, in its gem-like miniature quality, among the best books ever written. I keep it handy for times when I seem to be forgetting the geniality of life. — Freya Stark

We are proud that 100% of the trees we purchase for our ReLeaf tree sales, inner-city school tree planting program, and all other community events come from two family-run Manitoba businesses: Jeffries Nurseries in Portage and Aubin Nurseries in Carman.

Costco Wholesale Corporation is an American-owned company. It was founded in 1983 by James (Jim) Sinegal and Jeffrey H. Brotman in Seattle, Washington, where it opened its first warehouse. Its worldwide headquarters remain in Issaquah, Washington, just east of Seattle. Costco is publicly traded on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol COST, meaning it’s owned by a mix of shareholders, including institutional investors like Vanguard and BlackRock, as well as individual investors. No single entity or foreign government owns it outright, it’s a U.S.-based corporation through and through. Costco’s roots trace back to the U.S. even further if you consider its predecessor, Price Club, started by Sol Price in 1976 in San Diego, California. The two companies merged in 1993 to form PriceCostco, later rebranded as Costco Wholesale Corporation in 1997. Today, it’s one of the largest retailers in the world, with most of its 600+ U.S. locations reflecting its deep American foundation. Bottom line? Costco is American-owned, born and bred in the USA. If you had a different "Cosco" in mind, just say the word!

Tell me if I'm being unfair here but every major Canadian city - whether run by conservatives (Vancouver) or progressives (Edmonton, Toronto and Montreal) - has become a cesspool of drugs and crime and corruption where our kids don't feel safe and can't find decent housing at an affordable price. What's going on?

Via my friend @davidakin, at the CPC “Canada First" rally this afternoon, media are to stay in their “designated zone” and not talk with anyone there. We are expecting thousands of Conservatives to attend the rally today. #cdnpoli
