I love the men’s(and all the althletics on campus) programs and want them to succeed. It’s not dawns fault tho

@cdot_32 @RubrChickens She runs a great program and deserves to be paid wellfor it. But the majority of fans wouldn’t sacrifice the men’s programs to have a great WBB program. If you have all the resources and still aren’t winning Natty’s, that’s under achieving. UCLA WBB has far less resources

Not going to apologize for being frustrated and getting beat by 30 points in a national championship game. It’s a data point in a historical, glorious run for an athletic department that has had very little success. Go touch grass if you’re offended.

Mfs talking shit about Dawn losing in the NATTY, citing her salary. While we pay the football coach twice as much and we aren’t guaranteed 6 wins every year. The football team, MBB, baseball don’t win shit. And you are complaining about the program whose floor is the FF. 🙄

@RondaChollock Virginia and just about any other wbb program. Dawn is well loved here. It’s just a certain demographic in our fanbase that would rather us not spend on wbb and be shitty in ALL the sports.

@YulFodr @tombig1983 So I don’t think that’s the problem at SC. If that were the case, why hasn’t the football team ever won anything? They have billion dollar facilities and expensive big name coaches. I could see if they fell off after they paid Dawn, but all those sports have always sucked.

@cdot_32 @RubrChickens I was against the hiring of Maineri and questioned the hiring of Beamer and Parish. They were lazy, cheap hires. Dawn is the highest paid WBB coach in the country. In a time when all men’s sports are struggling, it’s fair to question the results we are getting from WBB.

@ErinV1985 I get why yall say that. The offensive output is great. But for every 30 she gives you, she gives up 40. Plus she is a black hole on offense. ISU’s while identity was dump it down low. No kickouts, pick n rolls, or nothing. And it was figured out early and often

@GenMoultrie1776 1)read the article and the headline is misleading. Nuance is important. Next tv deal will close the gap some. 2)winning consistently is worth the money. maybe not empirical but perceptually we’d be worse off 3)also a ticket holder, why hasn’t that money helped before DS?

1) Why are you skeptical? 2) What empirical data makes it worth the the investment and what empirical data shows the school would be worse off without it? 3) Yes, I’ve been a booster and ticket holder since the 90s. $6 million more dollars in MBB or Football actually moves the needle.

@phoenix201814 FB is most popular sport, I get it. No wbb team turns a profit. SC also doesn’t spend the most and they generate the most of any other wbb team. Maybe we as Gamecocks should pour as much in our winners as our mediocre ones is what I’m saying. Thanks for the accounting report tho
