Frank & @mikeclaytongolf at Golf de Fontainebleau this morning. Course walk with the committee to plan for the next phase of work plus an opportunity to reintroduce Clayts to a tree he cannot touch and enjoy the wonderful local cuisine. Apres c'est toujours mieux.

Ryan Noades and the guys at @cdpgolf1 have done something rarely seen in golf course architecture these days - they've created a totally unique, one-of-a-kind hole. The scale of the restored 7th at @TheAddingtonGC has to be seen to be believed - over 100 yards of green with pin positions that will have matchplay opponents rubbing their hands with glee. We can't wait to take it on at our Summer Meeting next month.

A milestone moment at @TheAddingtonGC yesterday with the opening of the restored 7th hole with its wild, 95 yard long green. Frank borrowed a club and tried to navigate the top tier. Thanks to @RyanNoades, Rob Sturgeon and @JDTaylor_ & his team. The course just gets better and better.

Appleby. Laid out in 1903 by Willie Fernie. A beautiful, natural moorland course with several hundred white woolly assistant greenkeepers. Suffice to say that @mikeclaytongolf is a fan. Here's his first impression.
