“Yoruba is a very difficult language, I wouldn’t recommend it for my fav scholar. Hausa is looser than Yoruba, and Igbo is a little bit more torturous than Yoruba but nothing compares to the musicality of Yoruba, Yoruba sings. Some people are just tone d£af” - Prof Woke Soyinka

The FG should hand over management of the National Stadium in Surulere to me and my team. In 5 years, it will become the home of the Super Eagles again! The FG doesn't need to give me money o, they should just give me 100% rights to manage and generate revenue. It still remains the property of Nigeria.

Fruit sellers in Lagos deserve some stick. They will do shakara with fruits, especially banana till the back bunch starts to soften and then still want you to pay a high price for it.

Street credibility was first recorded with 9ice’s chorus and verse at Codedtunes studio in Akoka then we took a mini studio to 2Baba who was so gracious to record without any drama. The hotel we recorded 2Babas part was in Festac (Comfort suite if I remember well)

Thank you for clarifying this.

This development is true, but the man who made the video seems to be misinformed about the Lagos State Government’s guidelines for installing solar energy systems in social housing estates. He is likely to be a tenant in one of these social housing estates owned by the Lagos State Government. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have raised concerns about something that was clearly outlined in the indemnity document he signed before the Government handed over the apartment to him after purchase. Now, to the issue: the Lagos State Government DOES NOT charge all residents living in the State for a permit to install solar power systems for domestic use in their homes, as the video suggested. ONLY residents living in the government-owned social housing estates are charged administrative fees for Alterations, such as installation of solar power system, before any additional development can be permitted. The reason for this is that, the State Government is responsible for maintaining facilities in its social housing estates. There is public electricity supply system already installed in the Estates. Installation of additional power system is taken as an alteration to the original design and functionality of an Estate building. Any alteration must be run through the Physical Planning and Survey departments of the Ministry of Housing for approval, material compliance and post-inspection checks. Those solar power systems are usually installed by occupants in shared areas; so this alteration must be approved by the facility manager (Government) before any occupant can proceed. The man in the video obviously did not apply for an approval before embarking on such alteration. The uniformed men seen in the video are from the Monitoring and Compliance Unit of the Ministry. The Government has had to deal with liability from unpermitted alterations by estate residents, including leaking roofs and severe damage caused by fire. So, the simple rule for any estate occupant is to contact the State Government (facility manager) for an approval for any external alteration they want to undertake in their building. If an unpermitted alteration affects the entire property, other occupants will hold the government responsible.

I have often held the view that this person is a lucky talentless act. Even if he's tweeting for recognition, the fact that he's aggressively promoting violence shows you the only attention he deserves is in prison. Machine wey don slack.

@mrolaoluwa That one is a norm. The politics in worship centers, especially Orthodox settings is not entirely different from major political parties in Nigeria. Build your structure, just be generous and available.

@Mr_laolex My Rev just shared a story that happened less than 10 years ago. Said the man insisted he be made Deacon. When the congregation refused, man left the church angrily during one service and bees visited them almost immediately.

My theory is that governance at all levels has been reduced to ‘owambe’. Most of what we get now are diaries of appearances: “yesterday I attended”, “today we paid a condolence visit.” What should be the business of statecraft has now become the business of social engagements.

Yesterday, I stepped down from my role as Special Adviser on Transportation to the Governor of Lagos State. It has been an honor to serve and contribute to the transformation of our transport system under the THEMES+ Agenda. I remain grateful to Mr. Governor for the trust and opportunity. After deep reflection and wide consultations, I am answering a higher call to represent the good people of Lagos Island Federal Constituency II in the House of Representatives. This next chapter is about stronger representation, purposeful legislation, and delivering real impact for our people. The journey continues.

@mimieyo I don't think Adelabu will run for Gov anymore. The darkness has impacted his not so great reputation in Oyo State and other candidates are being considered. Finally, read his body language from his address where he apologized, it seems he would remain Min. for a while longer.

So Minister Adelabu is about to end his short run of darkness and indebtedness in the power sector to run for governor? What is his campaign going to to be based on? Asking for a friend.
