Big hurdle I think is younger devs think of PHP as a boomer language. “All the cools kids” use JS frameworks.
What a shame, because PHP and its ecosystem are in the best place they’ve ever been.
It’s pretty staggering how quickly you can build and deploy a new app.

I think we, as Laravel/PHP community, have a problem. I don't see many new/young devs starting with Laravel. I also heard the same topic expressed by Taylor, Jeffrey, Nuno in podcasts. Question: what can I/we do to promote PHP/Laravel to outsiders? Let's brainstorm.

@Swizec I built a functioning todo list web app in Node.js with SQLite. I read no tutorials or documentation, and had zero experience in Node.js or SQLite before I started. It took me about an hour.

My son @CedricHolmgren says Copilot and ChatGPT have accelerated his coding learning big time.
I tend to agree — while you do need to make sure you learn what it’s doing and not trust everything implicitly, I think you’ll be way behind if you don’t use these tools.
