Hey grassroots, just wanted to get something off my chest and ask for the thoughts of other coaches and parents. One of my players has been getting 1-2-1 sessions with a coach. Paying about £40 for 45 minutes sessions. I have no issue at all with this, however it seems the opinion of the 1-2-1 coach trumps mine on all aspects of the game. I'm being told by the child's parents that the 1-2-1 coach disagrees with my players position (he's never ever been and watched the lad play in a game). Has said he doesn't rate my sessions, and has "suggested" sessions I should be doing. He's never been to any of our sessions or seen any. It seems my opinions as a volunteer coach of 15 yes don't carry any credibility compared to a modern 1-2-1 coach charging £40 a pop who doesn't come to games or see the player in a live game environment. Am I being to sensitive?
