@The_Grumbler Grassroot systems aren't good enough - you only have to speak to lots of budding English coaches and they'll tell you that the FA in particular are poor and set up systems that make it about who you know rather than what you know.

As it goes, I like Langer But having an Aussie as our national cricket coach and a German as our national football coach is a damning indictment on English sport. Why can't we create our own? There are no real English contenders for either role
