WE DID IT! Bristol, we made history💚 Thank you so much to the people of Bristol Central who have elected me as their MP As this city's first Green MP, I promise to be a strong, independent voice for Bristol's values, pushing the govt to be bolder on the issues that matter

I’m over the moon that the people of Brighton Pavillion have overwhelmingly voted to keep the strong, independent voice for social and environmental justice a Green MP provides Following in the footsteps of @CarolineLucas, I know that @SianBerry will be an incredible MP 💚

A year ago today I had my life all planned out. Had just bought a house and had decided to do solo IVF after my 30th and THEN I checked my DM requests and now 365 days later I officially live with a boy 🤣 @SamuelRason

This week is the 25th anniversary of the landmark Disability Discrimination Act. Thanks to all the campaigners before us who demanded education, transport, and jobs. Civil rights were not handed out by kindly non-disabled benefactors but fought for fearlessly by disabled people.

Disabled workers are being offered sod all protection in all this. If you can’t work from home, you’re essentially being told to choose between your job or your safety. As coronavirus cases rise, it’s incredible the government are ignoring people it previously told to shield.

What an absolutely superb piece of television #AHouseThroughTime was. Easily the best thing I’ve seen all year. I was actually rather tearful at the end of it. It was the story of #Bristol just as much as it was the story of a house. @DavidOlusoga is simply wonderful!

David just in case your 1 follower gets confused, it wasn't a lynching because that isn't Edward Colston! It's a statue. Which is why it had stood so still for 175 years and has a somewhat metallic complexion. You'll be pleased to know Colston died at home 299 years ago, ages 84.

Just found out that George Floyd was originally stopped by the police because he handed over a counterfeit note in a shop. I did that once! They handed me back the note as a souvenir, and later I told the story on stage in a comedy routine. That’s some privilege right there.

This is categorically untrue. Care homes were left without testing. Without contract tracing. Without PPE. Without support. You can deny it all you like, @MattHancock, but we were witnesses - we ARE witnesses - and believe me you will be held to account .

"Right from the start we've tried to throw a protective ring around our care homes. We set out our first advice in February... we've made sure care homes have the resources they need" says Health Secretary, Matt Hancock. Read the latest on #COVID19: trib.al/260MwD6
