CELO CELEBRATES SIXTH ANNIVERSARY AS TXNS SURPASS 1.27 BILLION
Leading Ethereum L2 @Celo celebrated six years since its official mainnet launch on April 22, 2020.
As of the latest data, the platform boasts some very impressive metrics indeed...
- More than 1.27 billion transactions processed.
- Most active ETH L2 for daily users, reaching a recent high of 840,000.
- More than $65 billion in stablecoin transactions since converting to an ETH L2.
But that's not all.
The $CELO ecosystem has seen several major developments in the last few weeks alone...
Leading browser, Opera, launched 16% CELO cashback rewards for users of its MiniPay Wallet who buy CELO in the wallet itself using Squidrouter’s 'Buy CELO' Mini App. Opera also launched a $1 million $CELO program for Mini App Builders.
What's more, Celo's recent tokenomics update has seen network revenue increase by a whopping 66% in the space of a single week, whilst simultaneously ensuring transaction costs of less than $0.01.
2026 is set to be a very exciting year indeed for the burgeoning Celo ecosystem...
