On Sept. 25, 1957, at 9:22 a.m., the Little Rock Nine entered Central High under the guard of the 101st Airborne. Helicopters circled, paratroopers lined the grounds, and chants of “2, 4, 6, 8, we ain’t gonna integrate” echoed outside. #LittleRockNine

Beginning June 3, Little Rock Central High School NHS shifts to summer hours: Tues–Sat, 9 a.m.–4:30 p.m. CDT, through Aug 30. Ranger programs at 1 p.m. by reservation (no school access). Check nps.gov/chsc for booked dates.
