Easy to understand why some athletes are choosing to stay in college. They are earning money (sometimes more than they will at the pro level), obtaining degrees, and enjoying the on campus experience. Any objectors are simply jealous.

Buried in portal news is this... The NCAA seems to be seriously considering the "5 to play 5" rule, which would simplify collegiate eligibility: 5 years to play 5 seasons, with very few exceptions (military/religious/maternity leave)

The DI Cabinet did review the five-year, age-based eligibility concept during its meeting yesterday and work on the concept will continue, sources tell @YahooSports. While hurdles remain - especially as to implementation - there is serious consideration in adoption of the concept

Why are certain lawyers so intent on fighting for former professional athletes to gain eligibility into certain NCAA college sports?
What could be the primary reason they want to destroy the world's premier system of providing educational opportunities for those who may never have been given the chance?
I'm struggling to come up with a reason why these certain lawyers just care so much about ex-professional athletes?
Hmm. Can someone help out?

Louisville is poised to be a major player in the portal this cycle.
“They have elite buying power,” says @AdamFinkelstein
Don’t be surprised if the Cardinals are heavily involved with some of the top prospects — including No. 1 overall transfer Flory Bidunga 👀
