@steppeganger @teortaxesTex Poland was/is somewhat based and is quite nice place to live now. And it's mostly opportunity cost for immigrants, when you already can reach EU countries why would you stop at Hungary? Even if it's way better than your homeland(which it is in most cases).

Очередная чудовищная история. Московского айтишника, который работал на российскую компанию, жил в Москве, имел беременную жену - не пустили в Россию, потому что у него украинский паспорт. Основания: "ты лайкал украинского кота", а когда он писал жене "перешли фотографию Пашке" он ошибся и вместо "Пашке" написал "рашке". В статье содержится чудовищная цифра. В чате украинских отказников Шереметьево сейчас состоит 22,5 тыс. человек. Вдумайтесь. 22 тыс, плюс-минус, - не самых глупых - из айти, инженеры, люди с высоким доходом, высоким айкью, паспортами, - которые жили в России, работали в России, на Россию, - и которых не пустил работать на Россию товарищ майор, просто "чтобы чего не вышло" и чтобы получить звездочки. Эти 22 тыс. человек, (а на самом деле гораздо больше) поедут и осядут в Европе. Или в Турции. Или в Украине. В войне, которая ведется в том числе и за демографические ресурсы, товарищ майор взял и одним росчерком пера положил еще 22 тыс. человек. Такая политика в одиночку проигрывает для России войну - она буквально загоняет обратно в Украину премиальный демографический контингент, который работал на Россию. Russia after couple of decades of pre-war economic growth and rearmament would be quite powerful but militarily still only coming close to the Germany, especially one that reaped benefits of having ally in the east. And they basically have no real conflicts of interests.

The British Foreign Office is almost entirely to blame for WW1. It translated a regional war in the Bulkins into an apocalptic conflict by it's support of France in order to try to ruin Prussia and avoid a potential competitor. God has punished us many times over for this foolishness.

I guess Ukrainians are abandoning the hardware. They probably don't have much hope of another counteroffensive. The manpower situation is bad. Paradoxically, this may be a war that both sides lose. Ukrainians can extend the kill zone and harass Russian rear, but not regain land.
