Tactical Analysis: The Palmer Role Looking at Cole Palmer’s heat map vs Wolves — it’s organized chaos. He doesn’t play as a classic winger, nor is he fixed as a #10. Under Rosenior, he acts as a "free radical" — drifting between lines, destroying the opponent's structure with his off-the-ball movement. It reminds me of Thomas Müller in his prime, but with better dribbling. Question for the analysts: how do you even man-mark a player with this range of movement without breaking your own defensive shape? 👇📊

🚨 Chelsea insider on Liam Rosenior: "Liam is a really nice guy and everyone wants him to succeed. But the reality of the situation is that a lot of the players are struggling to figure out what he wants from them." "He’s intense and he overloads them with information, he does a lot of individual work on top of what he does with the group. It’s difficult for them to follow and it makes things worse when he changes those instructions during games." "Everyone is frustrated and they know that results should be better but they don’t feel like they understand what is being asked from them and they don’t feel like that situation is going to change." 🚨‼️ Iran’s 2026 World Cup participation is in doubt following U.S. and Israeli strikes. · Following recent U.S. and Israeli military strikes on Iran, the president of Iran’s soccer federation, Mehdi Taj, expressed grave doubt that the national team will travel to the United States for the tournament this summer. · Beyond the immediate security crisis, the federation cited immense difficulty with visa approvals and travel bans, which complicate the team’s scheduled matches in Los Angeles and Seattle. · FIFA officials stated they are closely monitoring the rapidly evolving situation but maintain that it is currently premature to make a final decision on Iran’s withdrawal or replacement.

@Blue_Footy Lavia came on and instantly showed class, even in just 15–20 minutes you could see the lad is on another level. Just please don’t let him get injured again, I’m begging 🙏 Time to make him and Caicedo a proper fixed midfield pairing already, stop torturing the midfield ffs

Bottom line: 2-1, another derby loss, gap keeps growing, and we keep collecting red cards like they’re trophies. Enough with blaming refs, bad luck and “it’s a young team”. This is pure, unfiltered stupidity, ego and lack of brains from grown men who get paid millions to not act like kids on the playground.Until we learn to keep our heads for 90 full minutes — we’ll keep shipping 1-2, 0-3 and reds on 68', 72' and 85'. I’m done. Actually done.Who else is with me?#CFC #Chelsea #Arsenal #Neto #BrainlessFootballSeriously, how much longer can this go on? The Arsenal game wasn’t just a loss — it was a full-on masterclass in “How Chelsea Can Fuck Everything Up With Their Own Hands in 5–7 Minutes”.Pedro Neto — King of Idiocy at the 70th Minute First he picks up a stupid yellow for dissent (arguing with the ref right after Arsenal’s corner goal). Fine, nerves, happens. Three minutes later this genius decides the best way to stop Martinelli’s counter is to fly in from behind like “I’ll break him, but at least he won’t get past”. Second yellow. Red. Down to 10 men. Thanks Pedro, you just handed Arsenal +5 points at the top. 10/10 for brain-dead decision-making. Robert Sánchez — Second Hero of the Collapse Goal from a corner — classic Chelsea 2025/26. Sánchez stands like a statue again, doesn’t come out, doesn’t claim, just watches the ball sail in. One conceded — okay. Second one — that’s a diagnosis. We’re in 2026 and we still have a keeper who’s terrified to leave his line on set pieces? Seriously? The Big Picture — This Isn’t Bad Luck, It’s a System 7 reds in the Premier League this season (already 9 across all comps). This isn’t “the refs hate us”. This is zero discipline, zero brains and zero character from half the squad. Players picking up two yellows in five minutes, arguing instead of playing, making brainless fouls in their own half when the team is already hanging by a thread. It’s not tactics, it’s not the manager (whoever it is this week) — it’s the mentality of “I don’t care, I’m a star, I’ll do what I want”. And What Happened Before the Red? The team was actually playing decently — creating chances, Reece James tearing up the right, corners looking dangerous. But the second they got pressed a bit — everything collapsed in five minutes. Because we don’t have players who grab the game by the scruff in those moments and calm everyone down. We just have guys who add more chaos.

Despite securing the win, Mikel Arteta will be mindful of individual errors that could have been costly yet again for Arsenal. Martin Zubimendi, William Saliba and Declan Rice all had strange moments on the ball that gave Chelsea more encouragement, but were lucky none came to anything. But moments like Pedro Neto's red card are instructive as well as decisive. Arsenal are a serious team and Chelsea are not. Arsenal 2-1 Chelsea Briefing ⬇️ nytimes.com/athletic/70730…

7 massive games left and we still can’t beat mid-table sides without shitting ourselves and making it a drama right at the end. Drawing 1-1 at home to Burnley with a goal in stoppage time — that’s just embarrassing. Liam, mate, either switch on full Mourinho mode or we’re fucked. The fans are done believing in the 'process', we just want to win games without suffering every single time.
