The US was the first country to have nukes and it only used them in one two instances in the same war. That ended that specific war and decades later that country and the USA are allies. And you are comparing the US to Iran, a failed state ruled by religious fanatics who killed tens of thousands of their own people during the last civil protest. In the US you can elect your leader and you do so every 4 years for a 4 year term. In Iran, they did a bloody revolution and the same leader would still be in power if the US had not dropped a bomb on it. 40 years+ of the same "supreme leader" with a regime that chants "Death to America". Them having nukes? No thanks.

At this point, USA having nukes is a lot more dangerous for the world than Iran having nukes.
