The online consensus on The Boys finale is that it's good but would have been better if the season at large was better Or It's the worst thing they've ever seen in their life.

@ImZachsAccount Most definitely, with the way S5 was going, I honestly had low expectations for the finale but I was pleasantly surprised. Given the 1hr runtime to wrap things up, they did fairly well. It could've been better and more fleshed out if they didn't mess around for a lot of S5

@ceoofkpop_ yeah i don't really understand all of the very hot and cold opinions i've seen on it. Makes sense that it was a mixed bag, the good parts of it were going to be good as long as they were actually added. Most of the problems with it are byproducts of the *seasons* pacing/issues

The finale of The Boys was pretty decent. It definitely could've been better but, for what it is, I'm okay with it. I definitely have issues with it, but it wasn't horrible like I thought it'd be.

@kuhakufps Thanks! Honestly I see more US fans hating on this finale way more than I see people talking about it positively, there're definitely positive posts about the finale but I see more negative posts, especially on this app, calling the finale outright the worst finale ever

@kingjay343 @AmoghSawant7 used it if it wasn't for the final straw, that being Terror's death. I think the execution of him deciding to use it could've been done better, it felt a little rushed but that's a result of S5 not being great and them having to cram a lot of stuff into one final episode

@Samus2k21 I see both sides to this. S5 wasn't great and that led to the finale not being as good as it could've been. For what it was, the finale is pretty decent and I actually liked it. But I understand why people expected more and I did too, there's nothing wrong with that

The Boys finale was exactly how it should be. If you were expecting more, thats on you. 9/10 satisfied with a few nitpicks

@grimesclarkluvr Wholeheartedly agree. I came into it thinking they'd completely fuck it up but that wasn't the case. The finale and S5 as a whole has MANY flaws and could've been done a lot better, but for what it was, the finale is serviceable and I'm okay with it. I'm gonna miss this show

it was a very acceptable ending... some parts disappointed but it in a world of very shit endings, i dont think it was as bad as it could've been.

i genuinely believed they would have stuck the landing but the boys finale felt mostly rushed, flat and anticlimactic. which is not really surprising considering how s5 turned out to be, but i hoped for a miracle. don’t let them gaslight into thinking it was a great ending

@focusdeluxe I agree, at the end of S4 they made it seem like he's completely lost the plot and there was no coming back for him, if they had continued with Butcher that way then I would've felt he needed to go. But S5 toned him down a lot from S4 and didn't feel like he needed to die

i really don't think butcher deserves to die when they've hardly done anything to justify it and failed to give him his own villain arc. his comic counterpart makes him look like weenie hut jr

@jkaonr Honestly not sure, I don't think I've ever seen a show with an ending I thought was terrible. I honestly thought they'd somehow fuck this finale up entirely but they didn't so I'm glad

Some people just take the flaws and call it a shit finale entirely, there's no changing their minds. If you enjoy the finale, don't let anyone ruin that for you. It wasn't perfect and S5 as a whole could've been done so much better, but God damn it I love this show

There's so much negativity regarding the finale of The Boys. I can see it's many flaws, but I can also see the stuff they did right. So it's not like I'm glazing the finale, but some people are stupidly hating on the finale and series as a whole
