@saradietschy Respect. Lost both my parents. My mom nearly 20 years ago. I still feel that way when I see people with their grandkids.

@Top100Rick @JohnDahlia86 This is the first time I've seen someone spell this out like that. I've had the thought as well, but this makes a ton of sense. Probably the best way to view golf rates like this. But there is still a big need for $25 for 18 holes golf in every community.
English

@JohnDahlia86 Money is relative, so tough to say.
But if good concert or sporting tickets frequently run $500-$2000, why not a great golf experience?
I’d rather play a great golf course then go to a playoff NBa game.

@BenRogers Y'all saw the All my Exes Live in Texas video? Luka's gonna drop 50.

@Co1one1_Forbin @Daniel_Rapaport As a die hard golf fan in my 40s I can't understand not wanting to watch it. 🤷♂️
English

@Daniel_Rapaport Maybe im old in 40s, but as a die hard golf fan I have zero interest to even watch. Maybe the kids do, that's not my job to know - id rather watch LIV practice on a real golf clirse than this

The new Golf Magazine Top 100 Public Courses list is out!
How many have you played?
Which one do you want to play the most?
Which is your favorite?
I’ll start:
I’m at 60 out of 100.
I most want to see Lawsonia Links.
Pebble is my favorite public. Just adore the course and history. One of my favorite places public or private. Also have an affinity for Old MacDonald and Sheep Ranch, such special spots.
People always get mad that so much great golf is private, but how many have even bothered to play more than a few of the top public courses?

@mark_joubert Have followed along with your story but never commented until now, but wanted to send my best to your family. We lost a kid and The Next Right Thing helped us a lot. We have it on our wall. Hold each other close. Talk. Find your next right thing.

In the hospital where we spent much of the last eight months, they had the GetWellNetwork platform. It didn't work great, and by the end of our stay didn't work at all, but we watched a LOT of Frozen and Frozen 2 because Gus liked the music. It calmed him and helped him sleep. I didn't love or hate the films before. Now, after listening to them hundreds of times, they've grown on me. Because of Gus, they have huge emotional significance. I dare say I love hearing the soundtrack play in the background. One of our dreams was to sit at home and watch them together as a family.
In the wake of losing him, my wife and I have cuddled up and watched both films. Some of the songs hit really hard. Some of the music is truly excellent. One song in particular is on our minds almost every day: "The Next Right Thing" with Kristen Bell. I didn't know this before, but at some point, someone told me it was inspired by two people on the production team who lost their children. I can feel the effects of that inspiration more than I wish I could. It captures some of the feelings we've had.
Despair can win the day if we let it. We've mourned deeply the last few days. We've had grace for each other as the grief comes in waves. Still, we keep in mind that it is possible to be consumed, to have what a 16th or 17th-century author might have called "overmuch sorrow" - to, as Paul writes, "grieve as those who have no hope" (I Thess. 4:13-14). We've been telling each other that even though "everything will never be the same again" we have to keep doing "the next right thing."
Maybe the next right thing is to stop what you're doing and sit down with your family and watch a movie, read a book, or pray together for someone else.

@Top100Rick Gallery rules if all playing parntners agree on where the ball went. Played a course with white weeds in the rough recently and that was the first time we used it more than once.
English

Anyone play “gallery rules” when it comes to lost balls?
Basically, if you lose a ball you know you should find, you get a free drop. Because if you had a gallery, you’d find it.
A friend sent me this pic from the Scottish Open and we laughed about it. Imagine having 20 people to help you find a ball. (Note: they didn’t find it 😂)
I don’t do gallery rules, obviously, though in the past I’ve given free drops in the fall when the ball is obviously just under leaves. But the leaf rule is another subject!

Fun story. I bought a 12pack of @pepsi Zero Cherry
Not a single can was full.
All sealed. No damage.
2 empty cans. 3 cans with around 2oz. Most were around the 8oz mark. Not a single can full.
All were so pressurized that when you cracked the top they sounded like mini explosions
English

@DoerflerJared Holy smokes. Between that and the Dad phone call videos over on TikTok I’m a mess right now.
