@d1ApRiL Would you be ok with me setting up a true to the original version of bfbcs.com serving archived player statistics? I started throwing something together using original HTML/JavaScript/images from archive.org and player statistics I archived.

@i3D_net You recently started hosting game servers for Battlefield 1943. How would I go about renting a private server?

@TalostheCat Note: If you are actively playing on either platform, a stats update is triggered automatically. It checks online players every 2 minutes and makes sure their stats are up to date.

@cetteup I should mention this is for BC2, not BC1 PC: Talos the Cat PS3: rower4ever and TalostheCat (one of them might not work)

@cetteup I'm getting an error message that it has some process that isn't working (either that or doesn't find anything I type in on any platform), then it refreshes in the blink of an eye and I can't read the message; impossible to take a screenshot because of how quickly it refreshes

@Sabamika1 @LumpyTheCook EA has tolerated similar projects for Battlefield 1942, Vietnam, 2, 2142 and more for close to a decade now. As long as you a) don't make money with their IP and b) don't make it look like something official and c) don't provide the game itself, they probably won't interfere.

@cetteup @LumpyTheCook One game out of how many that are going to be dead soon? Also I wish them the best of luck, but EA is as litigious as Nintendo. Shocked they haven't sent them a cease and desist yet.

@LumpyTheCook This is why live service and always on DRM are bad for gaming in general. These games will more than likely be completely unplayable after the servers go offline. Yet we allow game publishers to keep ripping us off

@LumpyTheCook Aren't there still going to be community servers? Or is this the final nail in the coffin?

@blowfentatcops @LumpyTheCook EA started delisted the games in stores in April, they are long gone. Only way to obtain copies is by buying keys/codes (which should still work after the shutdown).

@TalostheCat Could you be more specific? Is it not finding your account?

@d1ApRiL I got stats for 1943 and Bad Company working, but I don’t know which stats attributes are available. Did you ever research those games? @d1ApRiL

@d1ApRiL Would be awesome if you could share the FESL stats keys/attributes for 1943 and Bad Company if you still have them somewhere.

@d1ApRiL You don't happen to have an old dump of the bfbcs.com database flying around? I'm trying to back up all player's stats before EA inevitably shuts down the backend. Having a list of player ids would help a lot.

When scouting on El Alamein, keep an eye out for Tusken Raiders.
