Here are the programs I am looking out for this spring, concept from @Moore_CFB 🤝 A few programs’ Achilles heels last year and how they’re trying to fix them this spring⤵️ Texas 🔻 2025 Issue: Run game lacked Sark-level explosiveness (4.19 YPC), and the absence of a consistent home-run threat. 🔧 2026 Fix: Hollywood Smothers + Raleek Brown + Derrek Cooper at RB, with Cam Coleman added outside to raise the ceiling around Arch Manning. LSU 🔻 2025 Issue: Offense was too inefficient for LSU standards (22.8 PPG, 3.58 YPC). 🔧 2026 Fix: Lane Kiffin takes over, Sam Leavitt arrives at QB, and the No. 1 portal haul includes OT Jordan Seaton to help reboot the unit in front of returning back Caden Durham. Michigan 🔻 2025 Issue: Passing game lagged badly (105th nationally per ESPN; 2,428 total pass yards). 🔧 2026 Fix: Kyle Whittingham + OC Jason Beck are tasked with accelerating Bryce Underwood w/ added receivers, while Utah transfers John Henry Daley and Jonah Lea’ea help stabilize the defensive trenches. Oklahoma 🔻 2025 Issue: Run game still wasn’t dynamic enough (3.54 YPC), and OU threw 11 interceptions. 🔧 2026 Fix: Ben Arbuckle and a healthier John Mateer headline the reset, with Trell Harris and Parker Livingstone added at WR. Look for Lloyd Avant (Colorado St) to be a RB contributor alongside Tory Blaylock returning. Clemson 🔻 2025 Issue: Offense stagnated again (27.2 PPG, 3.95 YPC) during a 7-6 season. 🔧 2026 Fix: Chad Morris is back to run the offense, with Chris Vizzina taking over at QB, a returning WR room, and Chris Johnson Jr coming in at RB from SMU. USC 🔻 2025 Issue: Defense still gave up too much on the ground (4.35 YPC allowed) despite the offense carrying the load. 🔧 2026 Fix: USC added WR Terrell Anderson to offset receiver losses, while banking on a revamped defensive front led by blue-chip newcomers like Luke Wafle and Jaimeon Winfield to bring more size, depth, and physicality to a new Gary Patterson led defense.
