I agree they dont make them like they used to & it’s a racket. But you are comparing apples with chalk . Your washer has a motor, moving parts & has to handle incredible g-forces just cleaning your clothes. Your fridge just sits there compressing/decompressing gas & circulating the resulting temperature difference Literally no way you can compare them.

The appliance guy told me five years is pretty good on a washer. Five years. I bought it in 2019 and the bearing is molded into the drum so you can't just replace the bearing. You replace the whole drum for $900 or you buy a new washer for $985. The refrigerator from 1989 sitting in my garage has never been serviced and runs like a top. That's your product quality report, folks.

@esanzi I will not be shy to ask you to remove shoes and offer you slippers. If you refuse I would say I’m sorry then you can’t come in. The only exception is if they are walking directly to the back patio doors to backyard. It’s not rude. It’s respect to the host and their home.

Hosting an event or a party at your home and requiring that guests remove their shoes when they arrive is rude. And weird. And reveals an irrational concern over dirt and germs. If you insist on doing this, make sure the invitation includes a warning!

This man and his daughter was at the grocery store picking up some groceries. When it was time to pay, the little girl wanted to pay for it. So the man gave her a $100 to pay, like when she’s playing cashier at home. She takes the money and puts it into the donation for feeding the needy. The man only had that $100 on him and now can’t pay for his groceries. He talks to a manager about taking the money back so he can pay. Everyone now is criticizing him for taking the money back for the needy, saying they need it more than he did. Was he wrong for taking the money back?

I'm struggling and I hate it. All of my stress boils down to financial and I don't know what more I can do. I need to increase my income by $500 at least, every month, otherwise I start every week in the hole. And that's just necessities, food water gas. I literally don't buy anything else. I don't buy clothes, I don't buy frivolous things, the only vice in my life is coffee. I have 3 set bills a month and otherwise it's just a constant juggle of food, water, gas. I had gotten to where I could afford an entire week of existence at a time. Now I'm back down to about 3-4 days thanks to the price of gas.

This guy’s dog walking business must be raking in thousands. Typical average is $20-$40 per walk. 20 dogs a day! Might be making between $500-$800 a day. But……if they see a squirrel, it’s game over! 😂

@KEriksenV2 To be fair they didn’t just throw it into bags. You can see by the inside of the green bag. It looks like it is folded and put into the bags and neatly stacked as best as can as its bags. If they didn’t have boxes or special packaging, I’m not sure what you expected them to do.

I went to the care home today to retrieve my father’s belongings. This is what was presented to me. I had to ask twice for a private place to sort through it. I said nothing, nor will I name the “care” home. My father’s life was not garbage.
